Karnataka: Lokayukta police registers FIR against CM Siddaramaiah in MUDA case

The Lokayukta police in Karnataka on Friday, 27 September, have registered an FIR against CM of the state Siddaramaiah for alleged corruption in the MUDA case.

A special court in Bengaluru had ordered the Lokayukta to investigate the CM’s involvement in the case where 14 high-value plots worth Rs 56 crores were allotted to Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvathi by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). The Karnataka High Court had recently upheld Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot’s sanction to the concerned authorities to launch an investigation against the sitting CM.
