In Karnataka’s Mandya, a married tuition teacher, 25, was arrested for ‘eloping‘ with his underage student close to two months ago. The girl’s family had filed a kidnapping case against the tuition teacher, identified as Abhishek Gowda, after their daughter didn’t return from her classes on November 23.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Division), Lokesh B J, stated that the minor girl was abducted on November 23, and a case was filed at the JP Nagar police station.
“The girl was found and rescued on January 5 from Malavalli Taluk in Mandya district after being abducted by her tuition teacher, whom she regularly visited for lessons,” police reported.
Gowda, who is married and has a two-year-old child, was taken into custody and reportedly charged with kidnapping and rape.
