The devastating Los Angeles bushfire has now spread to Hollywood Hill, after devastating through the Pallisades and Eaton areas, engulfing thousands of homes, as per reports. Emergency evacuation orders have been imposed through areas like Hollywood Boulevard.

Fire crews are thin at the moment due to them fighting the 16,000-acre Palisades Fire and 600-acre Eaton Fire.

The firefighters in the city are stretched thin as they grapple with shortage of staff and water. Strong winds are flying embers all around, causing even isolated homes and tress to catch fire.
As thousands of houses are destroyed, the Los Angeles Fire Department faces serious allegations of compromising efficiency and preparedness by prioritising DEI hiring. A letter is also circulating where LAFD chief Kristin Crowley has written to the city authorities that severe budget cuts in the fire department have affected their efficiency.
