In Lucknow, UP, a chilling mass murder case shocked residents on New Year’s Day. In the Naka police station area, 5 dead bodies were found in a room of the hotel Sharanjeet. Upon information, police arrived at the scene and found out that all 5 were women of the same family.

Police informed the media that a 24-year-old man named Arshad has been arrested from the scene of the crime. Arshad hails from Agra and he was probably staying in the hotel with his mother and 4 sisters. Police added that prima facie, some family dispute seems to be the cause of the murders.
Arshad has been arrested and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem. The city police have launched an investigation into the incident.
