Lucknow, UP: Late Army Major’s daughter thanks CM Yogi after her house was freed from illegal occupation, property mafia arrested

A woman harassed by the property mafia in Lucknow’s Indira Nagar area found justice and help from the state government under CM Yogi Adityanath.

The house of the late Major Bipin Chandra Bhatt was encroached upon and forcefully occupied by some miscreants for years. The deceased Major’s daughter, Anjana, who had to be hospitalised for a long time, had complained to the local authorities that in her absence, some influential persons had broken the locks of her family home and occupied it, eventually forging documents and deeds in their name. The family’s valuables had been looted too.

An FIR filed by Anjana in Lucknow’s Ghazipur station mentioned that her family’s property has been forcefully occupied and their valuables have been looted by two persons named Balwant Yadav and Manoj Yadav of Chandauli.

When Anjana’s grievance was not resolved at the local level, she finally decided to meet CM Yogi and narrate her ordeal. On 31 December 2025, Anjana met CM Yogi and told him about her struggles. CM Yogi took immediate cognisance of Anjana’s problems and ordered the relevant authorities to resolve the issue.

Within 24 hours, the Ghazipur police swung into action, and the two miscreants were arrested. Anjana’s house was freed from the illegal occupation of the miscreants, and she was helped to take possession of her family property. On January 1, Anjana finally got her house back

While entering her childhood home, Anjana got emotional, reliving the memories of her father, who had passed away in 1994. She performed a Puja and met her old neighbours. Anjana has expressed her gratitude to CM Yogi for the government’s quick action and resolution of her grievances.
