Ann Altman, the sister of OpenAI boss Sam Altman has accused him of sexual abuse and harassment. As per reports, Ann is seeking damages to the tune of $75,000 through a lawsuit asserting that the abuse caused her mental trauma and depression.
Responding to the legal action, Sam Altman and his family have released a statement, saying that Ann has been suffering from mental health issues and the family has tried their best to support her all these years.
The statement details that Ann does not lack financial resources, as she receives a monthly sum from their father’s estate to support her. Over the years, the family has also tried to find her employment, get treatment for her mental illness and even get her a house to live through a trust, so she cannot sell it immediately for gain.

The family statement says that over the years, Ann’s money demands have only gone up, and she has been making wild allegations against the family, accusing them of ‘shadowbanning’ her from social media, withholding their father’s funds and ‘hacking’ her wifi. The statement adds that since the recent accusations are serious in nature, and mentions false allegations from incidents when Sam was over 18 years old, potentially putting him in danger of criminal action, the family has decided to make their statement public.
