Teacher attacked at school entrance
The incident took place at Saraswati Senior Secondary School in Sikrona village. According to police, Sandhya reached the school around 9:30 am as usual. A short while later, Amit came to the school with his face covered by a white scarf and asked the staff to call her outside.
After being informed that someone wanted to meet her, Sandhya walked towards the main gate. As soon as she reached there, the accused pulled out a knife and attacked her. Police said she was stabbed again and again on her neck, chest, face and stomach. She tried to run and screamed for help, but the attack continued. Even after she fell to the ground, the accused kept stabbing her before escaping. Police said she suffered more than 20 stab injuries, while the attack involved over 30 knife blows. She died before she could receive medical treatment.

School administrator recounts the attack
School administrator Tejpal said he rushed to the entrance after hearing Sandhya shouting for help.
“I shouted at him to stop, but he pointed the knife at me and came towards me. I looked around for something to protect myself, but within moments he had attacked her several times and run away,” Tejpal said.
He said the attacker was alone and had parked a motorcycle without a number plate outside the school. Sandhya was rushed to a nearby hospital immediately after the attack, but doctors declared her dead. Other teachers also reached the spot, but they could not save her.
Police say previous complaint led to the crime
According to the initial investigation, Amit had known Sandhya for about two years after studying at a private school in her village. Police said he continued to follow her and repeatedly tried to contact her despite her refusal.
Troubled by his behaviour, Sandhya warned that she would approach the police. A few days before the incident, she filed a molestation complaint against him. Police said Amit apologised publicly at that time, but investigators believe he remained upset over the complaint and decided to kill her.
Investigation continues
Sandhya was originally from Dabua in Ballabgarh and lived with her husband in Firozpur Kalan. She was working as a teacher at Saraswati Senior Secondary School in Sikrona village.
Police said the accused is in custody and is being questioned further. The investigation into the case is continuing.
