Tamil Nadu: Moideen and Rajesh secretly record Hindu temple devotees in changing booth, arrested

The Tamil Nadu police have arrested two men for secretly recording temple devotees in changing booths using hidden cameras. The incident occurred in Rameshwaram.

According to reports, the accused were identified as Meera Moideen and Rajesh. While Moideen worked at a local tea stall, Rajesh operated a changing booth near the sacred Agnitheertham beach in Rameshwaram.

It is a common practice among Hindu devotees to take at the beach as part of the rituals of the adjoining Ramanatha Swamy temple. Following that, the devotees visit one of the changing rooms managed by private entities.

Rajesh and Moideen reportedly placed a hidden camera inside the changing booth, which was discovered by a woman on Monday (23rd December). She quickly alerted the police, leading to the arrest of the two accused.

The law enforcement authorities are now conducting a full operation to ensure no such activities are taking place in Rameshwaram.
