Times of India mocked after they claim Saif Ali Khan was taken to the hospital by his 8-year-old son Taimur, changes headline

On the 16th of January 2025, actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed inside his Bandra home. The actor sustained 6 serious injuries, including one to his neck and another to his spine. He was rushed to the Lilavati hospital where doctors operated on Saif. The doctors later said that he was stable and was out of danger.

As the news broke, the Times of India published a clickbait article claiming that it was Saif Ali Khan’s 8-year-old son, Taimur, who had brought the actor to the hospital.

Times of India was immediately mocked by several netizens for their clickbait headline and ridiculous “exclusive” reportage.

After netizens called out the shoddy reporting by the Times of India, the paper changed its headline. The headline was changed to “Saif Ali Khan was brought to Lilavati hospital by a caretaker along with Taimur, reveals doctor”.

Pertinently, the updated report carried no apology or clarification for the error.

There were several speculations as to who accompanied Saif Ali Khan to the hospital after the stabbing. While several reports claimed it was a caretaker along with Taimur, others claimed it was Khan’s elder son, Ibrahim, who had accompanied him to the hospital.

A MoneyControl report later claimed that neither Ibrahim nor Taimur accompanied Saif to the hospital. It was a caretaker and neither of the sons was seen with Saif.

There are several unanswered questions about the horrific incident involving Saif Ali Khan. While a suspect has been identified from CCTV footage, who still remains at large, netizens have questioned how the assailant managed to gain entry to the 10th floor of the highly secure building and escape, with apparently no blood stains on him. Further, netizens have questioned how he escaped the scrutiny of the security guards.
