West Bengal: TMC goons attack BJP workers with rods and sticks, victims had taken out rally to celebrate party’s victory in Bihar

On Friday (14th Novemeber), a dozen BJP workers were violently attacked by a mob of 40-50 TMC goons after the former took out a rally to celebrate party’s victory in the 2025 Bihar Vidhan Sabha election.

The incident occured in Diamond Harbour city in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. The victims, who are 10-12 in number and affiliated with the BJP, are now being treated at a private hospital.

One of the injured BJP workers spoke to news agency IANS about the matter. During the interview, he informed, “We had gone to celebrate the victory in the Bihar elections. All of us from the mandal went to Diamond Harbour to distribute sweets…”

“While we were talking, a TMC party man named Pushpendu, along with a group of other men, attacked us. They beat us so badly, worse than one would beat a mad dog,” the victim emphasised.

The BJP worker concluded, “We thought they would kill us. They hit us with rods and sticks. My arm is broken in several places, and I am injured all over…”
