On 21st July (Tuesday) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 153 development projects costing more than ₹748 crore in various assembly constituencies of Bahraich and Shravasti districts of Uttar Pradesh. He informed, “Each development project serves as a means to strengthen public confidence, and every welfare scheme for the people forms the foundation for fulfilling the resolve of Antyodaya.” He highlighted that the crucial step will be taken with the same spirit.

CM Yogi added, “Additionally, certificates, checks, keys, study kits, and Ayushman cards will also be distributed to the beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes. This journey of ‘Antyodaya to Rashtroday’ will give new momentum to the construction of a developed and self-reliant Uttar Pradesh.”
He arrived at Shravasti’s historical village Sitadwar which is recognised as the birthplace of Lord Ram’s son Luv and Kush and dedicated 83 development projects totalling ₹396 crore spanning various government departments.

Similarly, 70 development projects costing more than ₹352 crore were inaugurated and foundation stones were laid in the Mahsi and Nanpara assembly constituencies of Bahraich district. “On this occasion, certificates, sanction letters and checks were also distributed to the beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes,” CM yogi conveyed while paying tribute to “the sacred land of valour and bravery of Maharaja Suhaldev.”

Furthermore, the Yogi government also cleared 18 proposals including free scooters to female students who complete their graduation under the ₹400 crore Rani Lakshmibai Scooty Scheme. It is offered to students from households with an annual income of less than ₹12 lakh. Eligibility is confined to the top 5% of female students in each institution and college.
“The government will not only provide scooters but also their insurance, registration, helmets, essential accessories, and 5 liters of petrol. The scooters will be petrol-powered and will be purchased through the GeM (Government e-Marketplace) portal. The income limit condition will be relaxed for disabled girl students, daughters of martyrs, and daughters from destitute families,” mentioned higher education minister Yogendra Upadhyay.
The Vindhya Motorway and the Vindhya–Purvanchal Link were also approved by the Yogi cabinet. The final segment of the Ganga Motorway (Sonwar Tehsil) in Prayagraj would be the starting point of the Vindhya Motorway. It will then proceed to Sonbhadra via Mirzapur, Bhadohi, Varanasi and Chandauli. It will facilitate interstate trade by immediately connecting Uttar Pradesh to the borders of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.
The project is expected to cost ₹22,400 crore and will be 330 kilometre long. It will pass through about 341 hamlets and link to the Ganga Motorway in Prayagraj. 2800 hectares of land will be allocated for the purpose. The journey from Prayagraj to Sonbhadra, which now takes up to six and a half hours, will be completed in three and a quarter hours after the motorway is completed.
The Vindhya-Purvanchal Link Motorway will link the Vindhya Motorway with the last segment of the Purvanchal Motorway in Chandauli-Ghazipur. The Purvanchal, Vindhya and Ganga motorways would be connected after this 130 kilometre route is built, granting Delhi direct access to the borders of Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. The expressway will traverse through 135 villages in Ghazipur, Chandauli, Varanasi and Mirzapur while 2800 hectares of land will be needed to accomplish it.
Proposals to create research chairs (Shodh Peeths) in universities under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to support India’s traditional knowledge systems were also accepted by the cabinet. Colleges can be awarded up to ₹1 crore while universities may receive up to ₹2 crore. The money will be placed as fixed deposits, and the interest will be utilised for educational purposes. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contributions might also be used as institutions over 50 years old with at least 5,000 students will be eligible.
₹248.30 lakh will be allocated for a 112-bed women’s dormitory under the Accelerated Economic Development Scheme. It is going to be constructed in Basant Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Varanasi. 6,000 square meters of free land was also granted for a 500-person women’s dorm under the Chief Minister’s Shramik Mahila Hostel Scheme in Varanasi.
A financial package worth ₹20 crore at 0% interest was authorised by the Yogi government for the Outsourcing Services Corporation. After five years, repayments will start at ₹2 crore per year for the following ten years.
To improve public transport, the State Road Transport Corporation will purchase 220 buses, including 42-seater conventional buses and 50-seater electric buses. The cabinet sanctioned the purchase of new firefighting equipment, including as water tenders, foam tenders, high-pressure pumps, chassis, and accessories, to strengthen the state’s fire and emergency response potential.
Additionally, the government declared that the monsoon session of the legislative assembly would take place from 3rd to 6th August.
