Yogi govt announces concessional bus travel for 29 lakh UP Police constable exam candidates

The Yogi government has announced concessional bus travel for candidates appearing in the upcoming UP Civil Police Constable and equivalent posts recruitment examination in Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the preparations for the examination and directed officials to ensure that candidates face no difficulty while travelling to their examination centres.

The recruitment examination will be conducted on June 8, 9 and 10 in two shifts each day. Around 29 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the exam across the state. Given the large number of candidates, the government has asked all departments to make proper arrangements well in advance.

Special transport and basic facilities for candidates

To make travel easier, the Chief Minister directed the Transport Department to arrange special inter-district bus services. Candidates will be allowed to travel at concessional rates on these buses to reach their examination centres. He also stressed that no candidate should be forced to wait under the scorching sun and that all necessary facilities should be available at examination venues.

Officials have also been instructed to ensure an uninterrupted power supply at all examination centres. Backup arrangements for electricity must be kept ready so that the examination process is not affected in case of any power disruption.

Rehearsal of arrangements before the exam

The Chief Minister ordered a full rehearsal of examination-related arrangements on June 6. The exercise is aimed at checking the preparedness of officials and identifying any gaps before the examination begins.

Strict watch on rumours and misinformation

Yogi Adityanath also cautioned officials about the possibility of rumours and misleading messages being spread on social media during the examination period. He directed authorities to closely monitor such activities and take strict action against anyone found spreading false information or attempting to disturb the examination process.
