The police have arrested two illegal infiltrators from Myanmar residing in the Churachandpur district of Manipur. Two fake identity cards were recovered from their possession. The police said that they are investigating numerous such cases.
38 illegal immigrants were deported to Myanmar from Manipur on June 11, bringing the total number of illegal Myanmarese migrants deported to 115 since March 8th.
Reports suggest that the arrested illegal immigrants also obtained voter cards and cast votes in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. The voter cards were obtained using fake Indian documents.

According to reports, two of the arrested individuals dressed as women. Initially, the officials assumed them to be transgenders but they later admitted that they disguised themselves as women while leaving the state.
