PM Wickremasinghe has also stated that they would need international help to ascertain whether the terrorists had received help from another country.

The attack on CRPF camp, Lethpora was executed to avenge the death of Noor Trali who was killed in an encounter with security forces in December 2017. Five CRPF were killed during the incident and three others were injured during the terrorist attack.
