One of the suspects identified as 30-year-old Mirza Sarfaraz, resident of Baland Farvez Colony, has been detained by the police for interrogation. The victim's mother alleged that a group of five to seven men visited her house and abducted the victim several times in the last eight months and raped her.
According to the police FIR, Revanna has been charged under sections 377 (carnal intercourse against the order of nature), 342 (wrongful confinement), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC for the offense allegedly committed on June 16 as per the complaint.
Ajeet Bharti said that they could have sent the notice by post or email, but the Karnataka govt sent three policemen spending public money, only to intimidate him.
“Darshan, who is accused number 2 (A2) in the case, has in his voluntary statement to police said that he had given Rs 30 lakh to Pradosh (A14) to dispose of the body, and for the expenditure that would cost...for persons to carry out this task, and to ensure that his name doesn't come out anywhere, the police said.
