The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and Left organisations like AISA and SFI have called for a protest at Jantar Mantar on the 10th of October 2026, demanding the resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar. The Delhi Police denied permission for the protest and enforced heavy police security in the area to maintain security and peace after the violence during the protest in July 2026. The Ministry of Home Affairs has made 221 companies of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), comprising around 23,000 personnel, available to the Delhi Police from October 8 to 12. A total of 26,000 CAPF officials have been deployed in Delhi, according to reports.
