The court said that the present case represented a classic case in which the petitioners were attempting to unlawfully remain in possession of the temple property without any legal authority.

The court said, "We're dismissing this case. The Kerala High Court and the Supreme Court have already dealt with the issue."

Justice M Sundar and Justice M Nirmal Kumar's division bench referred to the Supreme Court's guiding principle which reads, "Wikipedia is based on a crowd-sourced user-generated editing model and therefore is not completely dependable in terms of academic veracity and can promote misleading information."

The MK Stalin government in Tamil Nadu had raised objections and prohibited the event from taking place in the state.
