A female boxer from Assam's Guwahati has been held captive by her 'social media friend' in Nigeria

After learning about his visit to Nigeria, many Nigerians issued a public appeal to the authorities asking them to stop his visit to the country. For this, they asserted that he could incite religious "disharmony or feelings of enmity, hatred" through his religious sermons which they noted have been reflected in the early part of his visit.

The incident happened on Friday after night prayers, the gunmen invaded the mosque in Saya-Saya town of Nigeria on a motorcycle with sophisticated weapons.

A police spokesperson in the southern Delta state on Tuesday told reporters that 67 people will be prosecuted for “allegedly conducting and attending a same-sex wedding ceremony.”

Disturbing visuals of the incident have surfaced on social media, where a large mob, including children, are throwing stones at a badly injured Usman Buda as he tries to get up, stumbles and falls.

Expressing their displeasure through the Twitter hashtag #StopChineseIllegalMining, the protesters stated that Chinese miners have made themselves lords of the Nigerian natural resources which belong to the people and government. 

The man was identified as a Nigerian citizen. The Police are trying to establish whether he is mentally stable or not.
