BJP has decided to pull out of the BJP-PDP alliance government in Jammu and Kashmir. According to reports by Republic TV, the BJP has decided to pull out of the alliance in the frontier state.

As PDP does not have the numbers to stake an individual claim for the government, the state is expected to go under the Governor’s rule. Speaking to Republic TV, former CM Farouk Abdullah has stated that the split was expected because the current government has been a complete failure when it comes to tackling terrorism.
The BJP has announced a press conference at 2.15 pm on the matter.
Currently, BJP holds 25 and PDP 28 seats in the 87 seat assembly. Congress, National Conference have 12 and 15 seats respectively.
According to latest reports, the decision has been conveyed to CM Mehbooba Mufti.
