According to reports, a large and unruly crowd of RJD supporters marched past the BJP office without permission. During this, the mob allegedly shouted provocative slogans including “Allah-hu-Akbar” and “Pakistan Zindabad”, tore BJP banners and posters, and caused widespread chaos in the area. The sloganeering reportedly continued for nearly half an hour, heightening communal and political tension in the city.
As the situation worsened, local authorities called in a heavy police force. The SDPO and several senior officers reached the spot to control the situation. Despite repeated warnings, when the crowd refused to disperse, police resorted to lathi-charge (baton charge), after which the mob scattered and order was restored.
