An FIR has been registered by Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday, 23rd March, against a hotel in Pahalgam for not informing authorities about the stay of 23 foreign nationals, including 19 British citizens. The case has been filed for violating rules under the Immigration and Foreigners Act.
According to police, during a routine check at Dehwatoo in Pahalgam, which is situated in the Anantnag district, police authorities came to know that these foreign tourists had checked into Hotel Misty Mountains Laddi on Sunday evening, 22nd March. However, the hotel management had not filled out Form C, which is mandatory to record the stay of foreigners.

“The hotel management wilfully concealed their stay… and failed to submit the mandatory Form ‘C’, thereby violating provisions of the law and compromising prescribed security protocols,” police said.
An FIR has been registered at Pahalgam Police Station, and an investigation has been initiated into this case. Police authorities have also issued a warning to all hotel owners to strictly follow rules related to reporting foreign visitors.
