Three people have been apprehended in connection with the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (Maha-TET) 2026 paper leak. The arrestees were trying to sell the Maha-TET 2026 examination paper. They were brought to the Kongaon Police Station.

Four actual Maha-TET 2026 examination papers have been recovered by the police in connection with the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (Maha-TET) 2026 paper leak. The examination scheduled to take place on 28th June was postponed by the Maharashtra State Examination Council after reports of the paper being leaked.
Speaking about the case, Thane Additional Commissioner Ashok Dudhe said that Pawan Bansod, DCP (Zone 2), received information that some individuals were coming to Bhiwandi today to sell the question papers intended for the TET exam. The police laid a trap and caught the individuals in the Kongaon area. The police seized mobile phones, debit cards, credit cards, and cash from them, along with four question papers.
“These papers were verified by senior officers from the Education Department, who confirmed they were indeed the actual papers scheduled for the exam. Consequently, the three individuals were taken into custody, a formal case was registered, and the ‘panchnama’ was drawn up. Further investigation is currently underway,” ACP Dudhe said.
“Given the serious nature of this offence, we have constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT). The team includes DCP (Zone 2) Pawan Bansod, along with two ACPs, senior Police Inspectors (PI), Assistant Police Inspectors (API), Police Sub-Inspectors (PSI), and other personnel. We will take action against anyone whose involvement is established during the course of this investigation…” he added.
