On Monday (17th August), the Bhopal Police said that they have arrested five people, including three minors, in connection with the murder of a minor boy whose private parts were removed after the accused were told they could make a large amount of money by selling human body parts. The two adult accused have been identified as Aamir Qureshi, 18, and Joheb Khan, 20.
According to the police, the initial investigation suggests that Joheb came up with the idea and told the others that human body parts could be sold for a high price.

Victim lured with ₹100
After identifying the boy, police began collecting information about his movements and the people he knew. The victim was a minor who used to sell pens around Iqbal Maidan. The accused were from the Talaiya area of Bhopal.
According to police, the boy was taken along by the accused on the pretext of helping them settle a fight. They also offered him ₹100 to go with them. The police said the group later attacked him with a knife, killing him.
Gupta said, “Through our informant network, it emerged that four people, including three minors and one adult, knew the victim and had stabbed him to death.”
Police say body part was kept for days
Police said Joheb showed one of the minor accused a video and claimed that a person’s private parts could be sold for a large amount of money. After the murder, the accused contacted Joheb, who then told them how to remove the body part.
The group kept the removed body part for several days but could not find anyone willing to buy it. They eventually disposed of it, police said.
DCP Gupta said, “Currently, there are five accused in the preliminary investigation. Four of them carried out the murder, while the fifth person was guiding them.” According to the officer, Joheb planned the conspiracy and encouraged the others, telling them they could earn money by selling the body parts. Police have also recovered the knife used in the murder.
