Viral video shows Lucknow University faculty ‘Dr Medusa’ cheering for violent regime change operation in Nepal: Read how she supports a similar agenda in India

A video clip has been going viral on social media, showing Lucknow University Assistant Professor Dr. Madri Kakoti justifying violence during last year’s Gen Z uprising in Nepal in a conversation with former Newslaundry propagandist Meghnad S. The viral clip shows Kakoti saying that she loves a “good revolution” and that such a revolution is bound to be violent and involve bloodshed.

“See, I have never shied away from the fact that I love a good revolution, ok. And when something like this happens, we can’t be naive enough to expect a bloodless revolution…It will definitely happen,” Kakoti, also known as Dr Medusa, remarked. The clip is part of a year-old YouTube video of an interaction between Kakoti and Meghnad.

In the YouTube video, Kakoti and Meghnad S are seen discussing the violent Gen Z revolution in Nepal that happened in September last year. The revolution led to the ouster of the Oli government and the dissolution of the Parliament. Horrifying visuals of vandalism, violence, and arson emerged from the Himalayan state during the uprising. The protestors torched government infrastructure, including Nepal’s Parliament building in Kathmandu, forcing politicians to flee and be airlifted.

“Beautiful” visuals of violence from Nepal

Dr. Kakoti romanticised the violence in Nepal by describing the gory visuals as “beautiful” and went on to justify it, saying, “It is very easy to condemn violence and call it wrong. But we have to look at the whole picture”. She condoned the violence by describing it as “violence of the oppressor” in response to the “violence of the oppressed”, which, according to her, manifested through alleged corruption and systemic failure in Nepal.

“If you look at the violence only from the point of view of bloodshed and ignore the systemic violence that happens, for example, discrimination, which happens, isn’t that violence? Ignoring or rejecting somebody’s right to live, is that not violence? (ignoring) The right to equality, is that not violence, just because there is no bloodshed?” Kokoti said.

The Assistant Professor went to grant legitimacy to the violent protestors in Nepal by equating them with the Indian freedom fighters Bhagat Singh and Chandrashekhar Azad, by entirely ignoring the contextual differences between the two.

Medusa supports the opposition’s regime change operation in India

Notably, Dr Medusa is a vocal supporter of and is deeply involved in the Opposition’s ongoing regime change efforts against the Modi government. She has been posting solidarity messages on her social media accounts on X and Instagram in support of the regime change efforts being executed in the garb of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led agitation against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise undertaken by the Election Commission.

As is visible from her Instagram account, Kakoti was actively involved in the organisation of the unauthorised CJP protest at Jantar Mantar, which failed to take place on October 10, 2026. She coordinated the movement of protestors through her social media account.

While Kakoti presents herself as a non-partisan, concerned citizen fighting against an allegedly unfair system and government, her social media posts reveal that she is a Congress supporter. Recently, Kakoti posted a video of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra taking part in the recent protests, captioning it using Congress’ slogan “Ladki hu Lad Sakti Hu” (I am a woman, I can fight).

Her X timeline has several such posts which clears peddle the Opposition’s agenda against the Modi government. One wonders if Kakoti hopes for a violent revolution like the one that happened in Nepal to overthrow the current democratically elected government in India.
