Turkish authorities have captured sister of ISIS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who killed himself after detonating a suicide vest following a raid by the US troops. The 65-year-old sister of Baghdadi, Rasmiya Awad, was captured along with her husband and daughter-in-law who are being questioned. A senior Turkish official told Reuters that they hope to gather intelligence from the inner workings of the ISIS from Baghdadi’s sister.

According to reports, very little is known about Rasmiya Awad but she is suspected to be affiliated to the terror group ISIS. She was captured from a trailer container where she was living with her family near Azaz town in Aleppo province. She was with her husband, daughter-in-law and five children.

The speculations were put to rest when later reports emerged that ISIS head Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi had killed himself by detonating a suicide vest during a raid by the US. The US has declassified portions of the video of the raid that led to killing of ISIS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. In the grainy black-and-white video, fighters can be seen walking toward the compound where al-Baghdadi was hiding from two different directions.
