Residents of Harij's decades-old Jhapatpara locality have alleged that its name has gradually been changed to "Islampura" in government documents amid demographic changes, prompting Hindu organisations to demand an inquiry and restoration of the original name.

The accused declared, "We will not leave anyone alive. If you escape today, we will finish you off wherever we find you next."
