Hzar khan poses as doctor, marries woman, converts her, then forces her to file rape cases against people so he can extort money

44-year-old Hzar Khan was arrested on Wednesday for forcing his 22-year-old wife to file false cases of sexual assault against people, including a Gurugram court judge to extort money, reported Times of India.

According to the report, a 22-year-old woman had approached Gurugram police to file a case of molestation against a district and sessions judge. The woman went on to claim that she was molested while recording her statements in a gang rape case on June 29.

However, during the counselling session, the woman admitted that her husband, Hzar Khan had threatened her to file false cases against the judge, police said.

The woman said that her husband Hzar Khan, originally from Nuh which forms part of Mewat region in Haryana, whom she met in 2016, had cheated her by claiming to be a doctor. She also said that her husband began to threaten false rape charges against other individuals to blackmail and extort them.

She alleged that trouble started when her husband forced her to change religion. She also accused him of indulging in unnatural sex.

“Hzar forced me to change my religion and marry him in 2017, a year after I started working at his Unani clinic. And soon after our marriage, he started torturing me mentally and physically,” the woman was quoted as saying by The Times of India. She added that he not only beat her up regularly but also subjected her to unnatural sex.

Speaking to the media, Police commissioner Muhammad Akil said that the couple even got protection after the suspect claimed that there was a threat to their life from the woman’s family. The woman told police that it was her husband who forced her to file the petition of police protection.

Reportedly, the woman has also revealed her husband’s modus operandi stating that Hzar Khan started using her to extort money from people in 2018 after he was lodged in jail for four months for possession of illegal firearms. To earn quick money, he forced his wife to file false cases of rape.

The couple would file a case after a few days of the alleged incident to ensure that the police are unable to find any evidence, police said.

On May 1, the woman filed a case of gang rape against eight men in Rewari and later demanded money to settle the case. Later on June 29, she filed another gang rape case against four men at Manesar following which she was taken to the judge to record her statement.

“After recording my statement, I was going back with my husband in a car when he asked me why it took so long to record the statement. He accused me of sleeping with the judge. On July 1, he took me to Chandigarh to consult a lawyer to frame the judge. When I objected, he threatened to kill my daughter,” she told TOI.

It was then that the couple approached the police where the woman revealed details during counselling. The woman, who has a daughter, also told police that her husband forced her to abort their second child suspecting her character.

Following the 22-year-old woman’s complaint, the police registered a case against Hzar Khan for extortion, unnatural sex, fabrication of evidence and criminal intimidation. The man, meanwhile, was remanded to one-day police custody.

Kangana Ranaut’s sister calls Taapsee a ‘sasti copy’ of Kangana, asks Anurag Kashyap to back off after he takes Taapsee’s side

Kangana Ranaut’s feisty sister Rangoli Chandel took to Twitter last night to confront actor Taapsee Pannu calling her a ‘sasti copy’ (cheap copy) of her sister Kangana.

Rangoli was reacting to Taapsee’s praise for the trailer of Kangana’s upcoming film ‘Judgemental Hai Kya’. Rangoli said that some people make their careers copying her sister Kangana but never acknowledge her or even mention her name while praising the trailer of a film she is starring in. Rangoli reminded Taapsee how she once suggested her sister Kangana to have ‘a double filter’ and asked her to stop being a ‘sasti copy’ of Kangana. During the promotion of her Anurag Kashyap film ‘Manmarziyan’, Taapsee had said she would like to gift Kangana a ‘double filter’.

Kashyap, who was present when Taapsee said that, swung in to defend Taapsee.

He said that Rangoli was taking things too far. Rangoli, not to take things lying down lambasted Kashyap and said she didn’t take on Taapsee just because she didn’t mention Kangana.

Adding that she was just ‘showing a mirror’ to everyone, she asked Kashyap to ‘back off’.

She then even confronted Kashyap and told him how while he was calling Kangana last night telling her Taapsee is her fan but in reality, she alleged that Taapsee calls Kangana an ‘extremist’.

Rangoli then told Kashyap that she is here to expose the duality of people in the industry. “Yeh sab shanagiri nikalne keliye he toh main twitter pe ayi hun thank u very much magar sab ki pol khulegi koi nahin rok sakta,” she tweeted.

After resignation drama, Rahul Gandhi set to start his ‘court appearances’ tour across the country

A day after resigning as Congress President, Gandhi-scion Rahul Gandhi will now travel to Maharashtra and Bihar to make personal appearances in connection with a series of defamation cases filed against him.

According to reports, former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi will be present at Mazgaon court on Thursday at 11 AM for a hearing in the criminal defamation case filed against him and CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury.

Rahul Gandhi had blamed RSS for journalist Gouri Lankesh’s murder in Bengaluru on September 5, 2017. The defamation case was filed against both Rahul Gandhi and Yechury for defaming the RSS by linking it to the killing of Gauri Lankesh.

A Mumbai-based lawyer Dhrutiman Joshi has filed a defamation petition against Rahul Gandhi and Sitaram Yechury seeking damages of Re.1 for their allegation that RSS was behind Lankesh’s murder. In the criminal defamation case, complainant Dhrutiman Joshi has cited some remarks made by Gandhi and Yechury against the RSS after the killing of radical left-wing ideologue Lankesh.

On July 6, Rahul Gandhi will visit Patna in connection with another defamation case filed against him by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi. A defamation suit was filed by Sushil Modi against Rahul under section 500 of the IPC for his statement attacking PM Modi by saying that all thieves have Modi in their surnames during an election rally in Nanded.

Reportedly, another civil defamation case seeking a token compensation of Re.1 has been filed in Thane against Congress President Rahul Gandhi and CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechuri by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activist Vivek Champanerkar for linking RSS to the killing of alleged Naxal sympathiser Gauri Lankesh.

Rahul Gandhi will be attending a series of court hearings in various defamation suits filed against him in connection with his frivolous statements made in the past. He will appear before an Ahmedabad court on July 9 for his “murder accused” reference to BJP chief Amit Shah. On July 12, he will appear before another Gujarat court in criminal defamation suits filed by the Ahmedabad District Co-operative bank and its chairman.

Similarly, on July 24, he will travel to Surat to be present at the court in connection with another defamation case for defaming the entire Modi community by saying “Modis are thieves”.

Rahul Gandhi seems to have a habit of resorting to shooting down false accusation and then taking a U-turn following a case of defamation against him. In the past, he had made controversial statements against the RSS after he had accused the nationalist organisation of killing MK Gandhi. He is also facing another defamation case in a court at Bhiwandi in Thane district over his alleged comments against the RSS regarding Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination.

During the trial, Rahul Gandhi had made a U-Turn when he had told the Supreme Court that he did not blame the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi on the RSS. He further said his remark had been misinterpreted by the RSS worker who filed the initial complaint against him.

Video and Stats highlight from England v New Zealand game

Finally, England has confirmed its place in the World Cup Semi Final in their last group game. This will be their first world cup semi-final since 1992. New Zealand too has reached the semis because of their better run rate (in case Pakistan win against Afghanistan).

After winning the toss, England opts to bat first against New Zealand on a flat deck. The openers once again off to a flyer. The pair added 123 runs in 18 overs before Santner caught Roy (60). Bairstow brought up his second hundred (back to back) of the world cup in the 30th over. However, he got out just after reaching his hundred, second time in 2 games. The others chipped in with useful runs, helping England to cross 300 runs when they should have scored 400 with the kind of start they had.

England finished at 308 for 8 in 50 overs. Boult, Neesham, and Henry took two wickets each.

New Zealand had a poor start once again. This is quite amazing that a team has so many bad starts still able to reach semis. With 14 for 2 in 6 overs, Ross and Williamson had to build another partnership which could help them to chase the target, but both Taylor and Williamson lost their wicket in the space of 8 runs, and unfortunately, both got run out. This made it clear that the chase is over for them. Latham (57) was the only batsman who could survive and play a decent knock for the Kiwis.

New Zealand bowled out for 186 in 45 overs, with Mark Wood taking three wickets for England. Bairstow once again got the man of the match for his hundred.

Fired employees of Tiranga TV stage protest outside Kapil Sibal’s house, demand six months salary as compensation

Launched ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, English News channel Tiranga TV that started off as Harvest TV, has landed in fresh turmoil. The channel is alleged to have fired its employees abruptly without serving them any notice. Expressing their displeasure with the channel’s unprofessional ethics, the sacked employees organized a protest outside Kapil Sibal’s house to register their grievance on their sudden dismissal. Sibal, the senior Congress leader is one of the promoters of Tiranga TV.

A group of employees whose tenure at Tiranga TV was unexpectedly cut short protested in front of Sibal’s residence in Jor Bagh and submitted a memorandum of appeal to his aide. In the memorandum of appeal, the employees demanded proper compensation before being laid off from the company. According to the employees, they have been offered only one month’s salary, while the norm is to pay at least three months salary.

Many journalists who were fired by the channel have alleged that they had left lucrative job offers to join the channel. The employees claimed they were assured before joining that company would run for around 3 years. The move has left them in the lurch as they have no clarity about the situation and have demanded six months salary from the management as compensation.

Fired employees of Tiranga TV during protest

The ousted scribes have also staged a protest against the invidious decision of the management by protesting in front of Press Club of India, requesting the Editors Guild of India to intervene and alleviate their misery.

Tiranga TV senior editor assignment Sushil Kotian claimed that employees across departments and levels are being fired by the channel with just a month’s pay. Fresh graduates hired a month back in May from prestigious institutes such as ACJ have also been shown the door, he stated.

The media outlet, which had often been severely critical of the Modi government, witnessed the return of many prominent journalists including Barkha Dutt, Karan Thapar, and Punya Prasun Bajpai. The channel was launched on the Republic Day this year as Harvest TV.

Later, Harvest TV was rechristened as Tiranga TV, after the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) allowed Sibal’s channel to use the new name and logo without the colours saffron and green.

Group of activists who were maligned by Indian Express speak up, call out their one-sided reportage

Following the ghastly terror attack on the CRPF convoy in Pulwama on February 14 which claimed lives of 40 Indian soldiers, as the nation mourned, some floated conspiracy theories while few celebrated the deaths of our soldiers. Even before the tears could dry up, a narrative was being built to whitewash the terrorist.

Anguished and angered by such instances, especially those calling for war against India and justifying the killing of the jawans, a group of youngsters had come together to report social media profiles to law enforcement agencies. A bunch of people on social media reached out to the educational institutes and companies these people who got into a celebratory mode after the terror attack and questioned them regarding their policies. Last week, this group was awarded Social Media Patrakarita Narad Samman by Indraprastha Vishwa Samvad Kendra.

On Wednesday, the Indian Express published a demeaning report on these bunch of people insinuating that they wrongly termed the people who seemed to be celebrating Pulwama attacks as ‘anti-nationals’. Aviral Sharma, a member of the Clean The Nation team has written a response to the Indian Express article which is reproduced below:

Liberals have regrouped again and have decided to tarnish the image of young professionals like us, whose only mistake was that they decided to raise their voice against the supporters of terrorism and the brutal killing of 40 CRPF soldiers in the cowardly Pulwama attack, earlier this year.

In the aftermath of the Pulwama terror attack, there were some Indians who were celebrating on the internet and were rejoicing over the death of CRPF soldiers. These soldiers died while protecting you and me the very same people who mocked their martyrdom calling them rapists, barbarians and what not.

This was not the first time that something as shameful as this was happening. This country had seen such things after every terrorist attack in the past when there are some people who shamelessly start supporting the terrorist and mock the victims of the attack. But it was for the first time that the collective consciousness of the people was saddened by this act and forced them to raise their voice against this inhuman act of supporting barbarians and terrorists. Amidst this, a group of young men mostly in their 20s took it upon themselves to render the duty of a responsible citizen and raise this issue and that is how “Clean the Nation” was formed.

Clean the Nation started as a Facebook group with 10 people & gained 4500 members in just a day of it’s creation. This group started getting targeted as soon as it got created when facebook deleted the group in just 24 Hours. The group was again created and things took off again. This group facilitated the growing anger of the people by taking the complaints coming from different parts of the country to the concerned authorities. It was completely a peoples’ movement where every responsible citizen took active part and contributed towards its success.

Today an article published in the Indian Express, showed this team in bad light and the people who abused the Pulwama martyrs as victims who were harassed without any fault.

Team Clean the Nation was recently awarded the Social Media Patrakarita Narad Samman, after which a news was published in the Indian Express that only showed one side of the story and singled out the members of this team by showing them as unjust men who got some innocent people arrested.

The pseudo liberal writer of this news piece very conveniently showed only one side of the story and did not show the anti-India social media write-ups of the people who they portrayed as victims.

Here is the screenshot of the social media post of the cases mentioned in the Indian Express article-

Suspension of an Assistant professor in Guwahati

The professor named Papri Z Banerjee, did not just celebrate the killings but also justified the cowardly attack by calling the security force personnel as rapists and murderers.

Post that led to an arrest in Jaipur

After Wing Commander Abhinandan Vardhman’s aircraft crashed into the enemy territory and he was apprehended by the Pakistani forces. A Jaipur based technocrat Tauseef Azhar, prayed that the Wing Commander dies soon. Team CTN reported this matter on Twitter to the Jaipur police after which tauseef Azhar was arrested.

Suspension of a Kashmiri student from a college in Noida

Eshfaq Khawaja, a resident of Kashmir’s Baramulla, studying in Noida’s IIMT college, justified the attack as a retaliation of the Indian forces do in Kashmir. Team CTN reported this matter to the college administration and later complained to the police authorities following which Eshfaq Khawaja was suspended from the college.

As evident from these screenshots, at no point in time during the course of this movement did the team took law into their own hands and have always reported the matter to the concerned authorities, which was always the institutions they were working/studying or the police in some cases.

The liberal brigade has always defended such acts under the garb of freedom of speech and that every citizen in a democracy has the right to freely express himself and speak what they feel. In the same way we also have the right as citizens of a great democracy called India to take the legal route and complaint about those who mock our martyred soldiers.

Editor’s note: Earlier in February, left-leaning website Scroll had also attacked the Clean The Nation group and tried to paint the group as ‘targeted harassment’ while giving ‘context’ to messages of those who were reported for celebrating a terror attack.

Tamil Nadu: Woman finds estranged husband on Tik Tok after 3 years, reunites with him

The Tik Tok app has drawn flak after several incidents of death, morphed pictures of girls and even flesh trade were reported. However, it somehow became a boon for a woman from Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu who found her estranged husband on the app. Reportedly, he had disappeared three years ago.

Suresh, a resident of Krishnagiri was married to Jayapradha and the couple had two children. In 2016, Suresh abandoned his family and did not return. Jayapradha had then lodged a missing person’s complaint with the police. The police had registered an FIR but there were no further developments into the case.

However, a few days back, one of Jayapradha’s relatives came across a video clip on Tik Tok of a man he thought resembled Suresh. The video showed him riding on a motorcycle with a transwoman who was his friend. The relative showed the video to Jayapradha who confirmed the man in the clip was indeed her husband.

Jayapradha went back to the police, who then tracked down Suresh in Hosur with the help of an NGO that works for the welfare of transgenders.

Upon his return, Suresh told the police that he had left home because he was unhappy with certain developments in his family and had moved to Hosur where he was working as a mechanic in a tractor company. He then conveyed his willingness to reunite with his family.

Last month, a 24-year old woman committed suicide by consuming toxin after her husband scolded her for spending too much time on Tik Tok. The woman named Anitha killed herself at her residence in Perambalur, Tamil Nadu and video recorded the whole act. She also recorded a statement before committing suicide asking her husband to take care of their kids.

Tik Tok is a very popular smartphone app, which allows users to create and share short video clips. The app has been instrumental in creating several viral trends and internet celebrities. In April this year, the Madras High Court had banned the app in India suggesting it was dangerous to children and was encouraging pornography. Following the verdict, the app was taken down from app stores of mobile platforms and it was not available for download. While the already downloaded installations continued to work, the ban was lifted later that month by the court.
