Former Congress leader Aplesh Thakore meets Gujarat Deputy CM, claims Congress leaders have ‘Chemical Locha’

Gujarat MLA from Radhanpur in Patan district, Alpesh Thakor triggered speculations of joining the BJP as he met the Gujarat deputy CM Nitin Patel. Thakor had quit Congress before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Thakor claimed that Congress was bound to lose as their leaders have “Chemical Locha”, Thakor claimed.

While speaking to the media, Thakor expressed his helplessness in serving his people while being in the Congress party. He alleged that there was no talk about the rights of the poor and backward in his party.

Alpesh Thakor revealed that more than 15 Congress MLAs are contemplating of leaving the party, asserting that they are distressed with the party. Thakor also claimed that more than half of the Congress MLAs in the state were upset. He said that he wants to work for the poor and the marginalised with the help of the current government in the state.

The OBC leader along with his associate and Bayad MLA Dhavalsinh Zala had yesterday met the deputy CM. However, unsure of the course of action taken up by Thakor, state BJP spokesperson claimed that the meeting might be for some other issue as they both are MLAs. Media reports of Thakore’s probabilities of joining the BJP have been doing rounds for a while now.

Though, speculations abound that Thakor and Zala might switch over to the saffron camp, though Aplesh has denied it. Thakor had resigned from the Congress party ahead of the Lok Sabha election in April 2019 over rejection by the Congress party for his candidature for the Lok Sabha seat from Patan. The Congress had also rejected Thakor’s demand for a ticket to a member of his outfit, the Thakor Sena, from the Banaskantha Lok Sabha seat.

In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had won all 26 Lok Sabha constituencies in Gujarat. The BJP got a stunning 303 seats in the Lok Sabha elections. Since then, speculations of Congress disintegrating in many states are doing the rounds.

Rahul Gandhi’s campaign was a disgrace, only slaves and assorted pen-pushers will see it as principled and passionate

“Any war that requires the suspension of reason as a necessity for support is a bad war.” – Normal Bailer

2019 Lok Sabha election was considered a battle of the ideologies, far more than a simple democratic process where the citizens choose who they wish to be ruled by for the next half a decade. The Left vs The Right, for the want of better phraseology. The Left became this all-encompassing orgy of political parties, activists, lawyers, civil society snakes and the entire conglomeration put their faith in one clown prince, Rahul Gandhi. The Knight whose shining armour was purchased from the alleys of Bangkok was supposed to salvage the pen pushers and assorted thugs from political annihilation.

It didn’t work. Prime Minister Narendra Modi raced back to power with a majority, even larger and more decisive than the last. Rahul Gandhi then locked himself up in a room, apparently whining about how he wants to quit as the President of the Congress party. The CWC, whose president is Rahul Gandhi, rejected the resignation. Rahul Gandhi, who had offered to resign to a body whose president he is, insisted that he wants to resign and Congress, which is basically an ideologically bereft family fiefdom, should find a new President. One can almost imagine poor Ahmed Patel knocking on Baba’s door and telling him, in a honey-dripped comforting voice, “come out baba, nobody blames you. The others just didn’t work hard enough. At least talk to Mumma. She will tell you”.

With ‘Darinder Mudi’ back in the Prime Minister’s chair and Rahul Gandhi throwing a hissy fit in his bedroom, it really comes as no surprise that the assorted pen-pushers and bonded labourers who had pinned their hope on the 40-something-year-old youth icon are now trying to convince Rahul through their op-eds that he fought a worthy fight. A principled battle. A war, where nobody wins, one side just loses.

One of the advocates belonging to the coterie that had pinned their hopes on poor Rahul said even if he quits, he should do so with his head held high. Apparently, he fought hard, “from a place of love” and “for our founding fathers”.

Another poor soul who has been countered like a shuttlecock in a badminton match said PM Modi should accept the mandate. The mandate, however, in his mind is that 55% of people voted against him.

Shivam Vij in his article for The Print listed what Rahul should have done differently to win the elections because Modi is not invincible. He mouthed off inanities like the people did not trust that Congress would implement NYAY (which is a scheme that can ‘end poverty’, according to Vij), that after the infamous hug where he visually communicated the difference between love and hate abstract binaries, that campaign could not be made permanent and that Rahul did not raise issues like Demonetisation, unemployment, Lokpal etc.

The analysis by all of these mind-numbingly enslaved lot is akin to a mother consoling her son who failed in the exams. “It’s ok. There is always the next time”. “Your girlfriend distracted you, otherwise, you are brilliant”. “Sharma ji’s son must have cheated”. No over-protective, blinded-by-love mother is ever going to just sit her son down and tell him that he screwed up. It is always someone else’s fault. Someone else needs to be blamed.

Rahul Gandhi came out and said that senior leaders are to be blamed because they focussed on their sons and not the party. For the irony-impaired, let me spell this out: Rahul Gandhi is the party president, before him, it was his mother Sonia Gandhi and in the 2019 elections, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was given a large chunk of responsibility without proving herself. It is only in the Congress party that Baba’s and Baby’s get rewarded for being utterly useless. Rahul Gandhi got rewarded for losing 2014 and smiling like a blithering idiot, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra got rewarded for being the loser’s sister and of course, having a nose that resembles Indira Gandhi, their grandmother.

Rahul Gandhi fought the vilest, lie-laced battle in the run-up to 2019 elections. Priyanka and Rahul believe that they lost the elections because other leaders didn’t lie enough and didn’t chant ‘chowkidar chor hai’ enough. The fact remains that the Congress party and their band of monkeys had absolutely no proof that the Rafale deal was a scam. The Supreme Court said it wasn’t. Even Rahul Gandhi said he doesn’t have enough information on the deal. The lie was fuelled by a lying, soulless, unethical media that cropped documents just to undermine the government. The court jesters never asked Rahul about the Eurofighter connection or his own links to a Defence Dalal.

He lied about national security issues, lied about tribal laws, lied about farmer loan waiver, lied about Industrialists being given loan waiver, lied about the Rafale deal, never explained his own dubious land deals, lied about the figures of off-sets, lied about the French government, lied about meeting with Chinese delegates right after the Doklam standoff, lied about Modi’s handling of Doklam even though a committee which he was in appreciated the Modi government, questioned the Indian government on Balakot, questioned the government on surgical strikes, lied about the economy, lied about NYAY, the media never questioned him about the inflation tax he would impose or whether he endorsed Sam Pitroda calling the middle-class selfish, he supported Naxals, he supported ‘Bharat tere tukde honge, Inshallah Inshallah’, he wanted AFSPA removed in Kashmir, he accused the Indian Army of rape and torture, he cosied up to Pakistan, he and his men abused Modi and his family… what else is left? Plenty, I suppose. But for now, this list is an indication that Rahul Gandhi travelled to the abyss of hate and lost his soul there.

While Rahul Gandhi did everything to burn this country and walk away with the power that would rise from the ashes, the media played Nero’s guest. They kept shut, they never questioned, they supported everything that would break this country including secessionism, they demonised Hindus and shielded Islamist terrorists. Why? Because Rahul Gandhi had chosen to ally with radical Islamists and fundamentalists.

After all of this, the entitled slaves would like to believe that Rahul Gandhi should hold his head high even if he walks away from the trail of asininity that he left behind. Would they do this for the money? The fund that would buy their beef steaks and wine and crème brûlées? Or would they do this simply because, without an idiot to manipulate, nobody would really give the Khan Market intelligentsia the time of the day? The irrelevant band of buffoons who like to talk about poverty alleviation while eating their Rs. 2000 worth of salad with a dollop of fat-free-glutton-free something?

Rahul Gandhi’s campaign was not principled, it was not born out of passion and it was certainly not something to be proud of. It was when that swam against the very ethos of India. It was a disgrace. It was a prolonged rambling of a deranged mind. It was born of not out of effervescent love, but irrepressible hate, not only for Modi but for an India that would not lick the Dynasty’s boots any longer.

The Knight has been stripped off his made-in-Thailand shining armour, but the Château Lafite sipping entitled slave is too scared to tell the Knight that he is buck-naked. Who would pay for the damn wine if Baba doesn’t come out of his bedroom, get over his hissy fit and proceed to screw up again?

The cooked up Gurugram ‘hate crime’ incident: A nefarious tactic to pave the way for a revolution?

The much talked about Gurugram ‘hate crime’ has turned out to be another instance where a crime was deliberately peddled to have been motivated by religious hatred without any basis in fact. Twitter was abuzz yesterday when newly elected BJP MP Gautam Gambhir preached secularism over the matter.

Now, according to CCTV footage accessed by the Police, nobody forced the alleged victim, Barkat Ali, to remove his skull cap as he had claimed. The facts were quite the opposite, the cap had fallen during a minor scuffle in a drunken frenzy and Ali had picked it up himself and stuffed it in his pocket. Moreover, his complaint makes no mention of him being forced to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ either.

Thus, it appears to be another case where a communal angle was deliberately cooked up to malign Hindus. Such incidents have happened in the past as well. An extremely similar series of events had transpired in March involving an incident in Gurugram itself.

A video had gone viral on social media which depicted a mob barging into the home of a Muslim family and thrashing its residents. The whole ‘minorities under threat’ narrative were cooked up and even Rahul Gandhi used the incident to attack the Narendra Modi government. Claims were also made that the victims were told to ‘Go to Pakistan’.

In the end, it was revealed by the Police that the violence actually occurred over a cricket match and such slogans involving Pakistan were never mentioned in the complaint itself. The actual fight began when a child was hit with a ball which in turn spiralled into a massive fight involving groups. Even the victim family had told the Police that it was not a communal hate crime at all and that they had been living in the area for a long time without facing any trouble.

In 2017, a Muslim boy called Junaid was murdered on a train. The mainstream media outlets, as usual, spun a yearn that he was murdered because he was suspected of carrying beef. The ‘liberal elite’ had even taken to the streets and initiated the “Not in my name” protests. But later it turned out that the entire narrative was based on a lie. The Punjab and Haryana High Court in its judgment the following year confirmed that the murder was a consequence of a seat dispute and there was no communal angle to it at all.

IndiaSpend runs a biased ‘hate-tracker’, the entire purpose of which is to paint Muslims as victims of hate crimes regardless of actual motivations. For instance, in September 2018, when one Azhar Khan was beaten up for fishing near a temple, it was considered a hate crime even though the motive were nowhere religious and IndiaSpend was not aware of the identity of the perpetrators as per their own data.

The timing of the current wave of Fake News regarding the Gurugram incident is also important. At a time when BJP workers are being murdered with impunity after the declaration the election results, it appears to be an extremely convenient way to deflect attention from the post-poll violence the victims of which are primarily BJP supporters. It appears to be an extremely nefarious tactic to bury the news of the deaths of numerous BJP karyakartas and thereby, give Opposition leaders like Mamata Banerjee a free pass.

Moreover, the mainstream media appears to have made it its primary objective to keep the communal pot boiling. The Prime Minister hasn’t even taken oath yet and he is being blamed for every crime under the Sun. The entirety of the first term of the NDA government saw the mainstream media constantly feeding the fear psychosis of the Muslim community. Going forward, it appears New India will still have its old media holding it back.

For the Left, it’s extremely important to keep peddling this narrative. The ultimate goal here is to forge a Dalit-Muslim vote-bank. Therefore, we can expect fake narratives around crimes against Dalits as well.

The long term effects of this can obviously be devastating for the social fabric of the country. If Muslims are constantly fed the narrative, wrongly, that they are being targeted due to their religious identity by people who have the backing of the state, they will be that much more prone to radicalization by terrorist outfits.

The mainstream media, on repeated occasions, has displayed the inclination to whitewash the hate crimes committed by Muslims against Hindus. Thus, it appears the strategy of the Left cabal is threefold: Perpetuate the fear psychosis among Muslims thus making them more vulnerable to radicalization, whitewash the hate crimes of Muslims against Hindus by justifying the crime committed by blaming it on alienation and other myths, sustain this propaganda over a long period so that the country remains on a perpetual pot boil thus precipitating circumstances that could pave the way for a ‘revolution’.

The sustained barrage of fake news spanning more than five years cannot be blamed on mere incompetence alone. We have to accept the possibility that there is a certain sinister design behind the madness. Even as Hindus being attacked for their religious identity, as they have been all this while, the mainstream media maintains a stoic silence over them. While political violence is taking the lives of BJP karyakartas, a narrative based on fake news gathers primacy over it. There’as a certain method to this madness that reeks of malevolent intents.

MP: BSP MLA Ramabai Ahirwar who had threatened ‘Karnataka-like-situation’ if not made minister now says BJP is trying to poach her

0

BSP MLA in Madhya Pradesh seems to have moved on from trying to hold the Kamal Nath government as a hostage to blackmail. BSP MLA Ramabai Ahirwar, who had threatened with a ‘Karnataka-like-situation‘ if she is not given a ministerial position in Madhya Pradesh government has now claimed that she has been offered Rs 50 crore and a ministerial position by the BJP to jump ships.

She has said that she has been receiving calls from the BJP but she said that she is supporting Kamal Nath. Ramabai has clarified that she is not with the Congress. However, she has been upset that the MLAs supporting the Madhya Pradesh government are ignored and that the sulking MLAs are not tended and catered to.

Ramabai’s statements come in the middle of the crisis in the state where the Madhya Pradesh government is staring at a collapse. The Congress-JD(S) led Karnataka Government is also facing turbulent times as Congress leaders in the state are claiming that the government may fall by June 10.

Earlier, Ramabai’s husband, Govind Singh, was arrested by Madhya Pradesh Police for his alleged involvement in Devendra Chourasia, a former BSP leader who had joined Congress three days before being killed. Her brother-in-law and two other relatives were also named in the FIR.

In the state elections that concluded in December 2018, Congress won 114 seats while the BJP got 109. With external support from the Bahujan Samaj Party and Samajwadi Party, Congress had formed the government.

Leftist propaganda portal The Wire says that ‘Jai Shri Ram’ is a slogan of hooliganism

The leftist propaganda portal, The Wire, published an article written by Delhi University professor, Apoorvanand on May 9 in which the author has called “Jai Shri Ram” slogan an expression of hooliganism.

Apporvanand, in his article, extended support to the bizarre incident when West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had referred to ‘Jai Shri Ram’ chants as abuses hurled at her.

He further went on to insult the Prime Minister of India by calling him an ‘instigator’. Such strong is the hate that Apporanand fails to remember that while insulting the PM he is also disregarding India’s most eminent position of authority.

Moreover, the professor in his hatred went a step ahead and referred to Veteran BJP leader LK Advani as a ‘bahurupiya’ (imposter). He opinioned that ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogans were used as a political narrative by BJP to create Muslim hatred amongst the Hindus.

‘Jai Shri Ram’ is a cultural slogan. Since long, it has been a manner of greeting each other for Hindus, along with another variant ‘Jai Siya Ram’. Calling the slogan provocative or a sign of hooliganism just depicts the shallow ethos these so-called liberals adhere to.

However, Apoorvanand is not the only one peddling such spiteful hypothesis against Hindus and the right-wingers. Propagandist MK Venu, in his recent article for The Wire, had justified Mamata Banerjee’s reign of violence calling ‘aggressive’ chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ provocative.

Similarly, the founding editor of The Wire has also mongered a similar theory. He had opined that Prime Minister Modi greeting people with ‘Jai Shri Ram’ at his rallies is a ‘corrupt practice’.

Though it would be utter naivete to expect anything else from The Wire’s founding editor and contributors, they are, however, not the only ones. The entire liberal circle are, in fact, troubled greatly by Hindus coming under one banner.

It is quite astounding that all the while as liberals sing paeans for unity and harmony, they try every trick under the sun to keep Hindus divided. If Hindus of all hues find common ground under Shri Rama, then its unity that is the problem according to liberals.

This Hinduphobia runs so deep that liberals consider the slightest overt display of Hinduism to be a corrupt practice, provocative and a sign of hooliganism.

Dear ‘Left’, news red lines have been drawn, adapt or perish

In any national discourse, there are certain things you can do, certain things you can’t. It’s unwritten but understood, not voted on, but decided by the will of the citizens.

The election results of 2019 General Election have just come out. There are over 10,000 articles giving their own explanations of why BJP won with such a staggering mandate. All of them wrong.

This reminds me of the fall of the Soviet Union. Even when the disintegration was staring right in their face, they couldn’t understand how this could possibly happen. After all Revolutionary Socialism was a foolproof theory designed to usher in a utopia of workers, wasn’t it? Their theory was sound, the only moral theory and the only option to counter oppressive Capitalism, right?

No Left individual or organization has ever been able to understand why the entire world has been dumping them like yesterday’s milk. The left, bound in complete conformity, restricted by the assumed infallibility of the theory, has never been able to adapt. Because adapting requires introspection, and introspection requires accepting a possibility that the theory might not be so great after all.

In its quest for dominance, Indian Left has sought to destroy all the things the people can rally around; civilisation, it’s history, religion, aspirations (what if they actually want a better life tomorrow? We can’t have that. So we tell them how there’s a virtue in poverty). To quote Tom Clancy, Marxism is a jealous God. It doesn’t like competition.

Well, today the Marxist God is destroyed. His temple razed to the ground, only to have dictators like Stalin, Mao, Lenin & Che staring at us from the frames on the debilitated walls.

To survive, the Left, not only electoral but the entire ideological spectrum: academic, activist, cultural will have to let go of everything dear. The jealous monotheistic God will have to learn to coexist will pagans. The left has to let go of its hostility to everything native.

The Left will have to stop glorifying invaders, their tactic to say, see, your Gods ain’t that great, you people are not that great and the only great deity is Marxism. Is it too much to expect for them to see the irony of supporting one exploitative ideology to supposedly save people from another?

The Left will have to stop standing with those who want the destruction of the union of India.

The Left still sees the Union of India as a temporary obstacle in the way of the Marxist state they will usher. Their biggest leader, EMS Namboodiripad famously said: “We are entering the parliament to destroy it from within”. Which is why they’re perfectly ok siding with terrorists. JNU had an ISI spy ring, run with the knowledge of the Left. Left parties have hosted events to commemorate Leftist terrorists, Islamic terrorists and more. It’s important to mention here that during the 1962 war, Communist Parties of India publicly sided with China.

It’s time for the Left to dump their hostility towards India and embrace the fact that their survival is conditional to the survival of the Union of India. Today, even the Chinese communists have embraced nationalism. To think of it, so have Indian Communists, just that it’s Chinese Nationalism.

And lastly, the Left will have to stop being hostile to the Hindu expression. World over, the Left has aligned with Islamism because it sees similarities in their belief structure and common enemies (if Islamism does win, the Left will be the first to go. Not very intelligent, are they?). And similarly, the Left in India has aligned itself to political Islam. At this point, it’s important to mention that the Left supported the Muslim League in its quest for partition as well. But when it comes to Hindu expression, the Left suddenly finds it communal, because every alternate identity is a threat to Communism. The Left, for decades, has sought to suppress Hindu expression in every arena.

Let us look at Ayodhya, Marxist historians have actively campaigned against and actually prevented the peaceful solution for the Ram Temple.

Suvira Jaiswal, Former Professor of JNU had testified in court:

“I have read nothing about Babri Mosque. I did not study thoroughly, therefore, I cannot say as to when Babri Mosque came into existence. I cannot say as to what was there at the site before coming into existence of Babri Mosque.

In my knowledge, no such evidence is found which may indicate that Babri mosque was constructed after demolishing Sri Rama’s temple.

Whatever knowledge I gained with respect to the disputed site, was on the basis on newspaper or what the others told, i.e., from the report of historians. By historians’ report, I mean ‘Historian’s Report to Nation’.”

SC Mishra, Satyawati College, Delhi University said this:

“I have heard of Jaziya tax. At present, I fail to recollect when and for what purpose it was levied. I do not remember that the Jaziya was levied only on Hindus.

It is wrong to say that Aurangzeb built the Gyanvapi mosque by demolishing half of the Kashi Vishwanath temple.”

It’s important to note that even a half blind person can see that an entire side of Gyanvapi mosque is made of the original temple wall.

The Left may think it’s a good idea to use history as a means to suppress the Hindu identity. But they don’t realize how far the civilizational memories go. They may have ‘purged’ the textbooks and public discourse of Chola Empire, Solanki dynasty of Gujarat, Chandragupta Maurya & the Holkars, but, to quote the Game of Thrones, ‘The North Remembers’. The more you try to deny history, the more we will hold on to it. you have failed and in the process, put yourselves on the side of some of the worst men in the history of mankind.

All I can say to the Left is this: The time has changed. This country has drawn new red lines. If you continue operating in the manner that you are, you will perish. And I for one, won’t miss you.

Karnataka crisis: Congress-JD(S) coalition government may collapse by June 10

0

As Karnataka state government continues to crumble, a Congress leader has come out and said that the unholy alliance of Congress-JDS may not be able to continue beyond June 10. Congress leader KN Ranjanna on Monday claimed that the coalition government will collapse after June 10.

Ranjanna was angry and blamed Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka and Congress leader G Parameshwara for the defeat in Tumkuru where BJP’s G. S. Basavaraj defeated JD(S) patriarch and former prime minister HD Devegowda. He said that the coalition government will continue only till the swearing-in ceremony of PM Modi which will take place on 30th May. He even said that Parameshwara will not be the deputy CM after Modi swearing-in.

On Sunday, two Congress MLAs Ramesh Jarkiholi and Sudhakar had met BJP leader R Ashok at senior BJP leader SM Krishna’s residence. However, they had called it a social visit and added that there was nothing political about it.

Meanwhile, the BJP in Karnataka has said that they are not looking for ‘Operation Lotus’ a term used for BJP’s strategy to come to power where it may not have enough seats to form the government. BJP National General Secretary P Muralidhar Rao said that since the Congress-JD(S) government will collapse on its own in Karnataka, the BJP will not require the ‘Operation Lotus’. “We are neither asking Congress MLAs to revolt nor are we asking them to keep quiet,” he said.

The BJP won 25 out of 28 Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka, where even JD(S) head HD Devegowda and his grandson and HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumaraswamy lost.

Gurugram ‘hate crime’: CCTV shows no skullcap thrown, police says no complaint about ‘Jai Shriram’ being forced

The media reports of a Muslim man in Gurugram being beaten up by some Hindu men in Sadar Bazar area had gone viral yesterday. The event had got significant attention on social and mainstream media after newly elected BJP MP Gautam Gambhir had tweeted about it, insinuating it to be a hate crime and preaching about ‘secularism’.

The police had denied the angle of hate crime in the incident. Yesterday itself, the Gurugram police had stated that the incident was a case of a minor brawl in a drunken state.

Reports had also stated that the Gurugram police was examining the CCTV footage of nearby areas. Several people were arrested after the incident where one 25-year-old Barkat Ali claimed that he was beaten up by a group of men who removed his skull cap claiming it was now ‘allowed’ in the area and had forced him to chant ‘Jai Shriram’.

As per the latest report in News18, the Gurugram police have examined over 50 CCTV footages in the locality and have found that there was a scuffle involving the Muslim man Barkat Ali and some other people. The argument also turned to push and shoving in which Barkat Ali’s skull cap fell down. The CCTV footage reportedly shows that nobody had deliberately removed Ali’s skullcap, rather Ali had picked it up and kept in his pocket.

The CCTV footage also reportedly showed that nobody had torn up Ali’s shirt either.   The police, after examining over 50 CCTV footages in 24 hours, have also found that it was a minor brawl and seeing some men fighting, a sweeper nearby had rushed to separate the men and had asked them to calm down, following which the brawl had ended.

The police had stated that they had registered an FIR in the case. The statement by the victim had not mentioned him being forced to chant ‘Jai Shriram’ or being threatened to be fed pork. The police had also stated that from CCTV footage, it is seen that the entire incident was over within a minute.

The police had stated that some ‘anti-social elements’ are trying to paint the incident in communal colours. The victim Barkat Ali had reportedly stated that he is feeling unsafe in Gurugram and wants to go back to his home in Bihar. The police commissioner has, however, asked him to stay till the investigations are over.

Many mainstream media channels had reported the incident as a case of anti-Muslim hate crime. On social media, the incident was highlighted yesterday by many influencers as a case of growing intolerance and violence against Muslims.

BJP workers continue to face the ire, nine people brutally murdered since May 23, dozens attacked and injured

The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) registered a historic win in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. This win, however, did not come easily for the Modi-led government. BJP sacrificed several of its ground level workers and leaders in the process. And now, even after the elections are over the BJP workers and supporters continue to pay the price.

In the latest, a bomb was hurled at the ‘Vijay Rally’ of BJP supporters, allegedly by TMC supporters, on May 27 in Birbhum under Mayureswar police station limits. However, no injuries were reported.

Shockingly, since May 23, the day of poll results, almost 9 BJP workers and supporters have been brutally killed simply because they worked for the BJP.

After Smriti Irani defeated the Gandhi family scion and Congress President Rahul Gandhi in Amethi her close aide and newly-elected Lok Sabha Member of Parliament, Surendra Singh was brutally shot dead by unidentified assailants in her constituency of Amethi. His son had suspected involvement of some Congress supporters in the incident.

A day after this episode, a BJP worker, Chandan Shaw, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Bhatapara of North 24 Parganas district in West Bengal. In a separate incident the same day, another BJP worker, Nemichand Tanwar was also reportedly shot dead in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The family has alleged that he was killed as he didn’t vote for Congress.

Columnist and author Vikas Saraswat compiled a Twitter thread collating such incidents of violence against the BJP workers and supporters. Like almost all the other states, after BJP secured a significant win in Uttar Pradesh by securing 62 seats out of the 80 seats, there were reports that BJP’ panna pramukh, Chandrapal Singh in Karanpur village, Hapur, Uttar Pradesh was brutally shot at in his sleep. Singh succumbed to his injuries.

Similar spurts of post-poll violence claimed another three BJP workers live in Tripura. BJP worker Shibu Das (20), a resident of Khayerpur area and fish trader Apu Das (56) were both attacked on the streets and killed in cold blood.

Prior to this, BJP worker Mithu Bhowmik was murdered in Fatikcherra area of northern Agartala on May 24, a day after the poll results were declared.

Moreover, Lok Sabha polls in West Bengal has been the most bloody one. BJP workers have been targetted by TMC goons during and now post elections also. A BJP worker named Santu Ghosh (25) was shot outside his house in the Nadia district on May 25. He had switched from the TMC a few days ago. Santu succumbed to his injuries.

On May 26, it was reported that Mateen Patel (48), a BJP minority cell worker at Mohalla village in Akola district, Maharashtra, was beaten to death over Lok Sabha results. In Maharashtra out of the total of 48 seats, BJP successfully bagged 23.

The above incidents are only a few which have made it to the print media. There must be several other incidents which might have occurred but have not caught media attention. However, amongst all this, what is commendable is the extreme dedication the BJP workers have for their party. Despite the extremity meted out at BJP karyakartas and supporters, they stood strong and resolute and zoomed BJP towards a significant win.

Eoin Morgan – World Cup 2015 was a humiliation

‘We were humiliated,’ English captain, Eoin Morgan told BBC about their disastrous performance in the 2015 World Cup edition.

England won only 2 matches which were against the minnows (Afghanistan and Scotland) and lost 4, including one against Bangladesh.

In an interview to BBC Radio 5 Live Morgan accepted that their approach in that particular World Cup wasn’t right. When teams were scoring 330 they were still in 290-300 mode.

“We were humiliated. There are two games which stand out for me in that World Cup which confirmed we were underprepared and so far off the mark – the first one being against New Zealand. We were bowled out for 123 and New Zealand knocked them off in 12.2 overs,” said Morgan.

England has not secured a place in a semi-final since World Cup 1992. Their last best performance was in 2011 when they reached into the quarter-finals. In 2015, they lost this opportunity after they were defeated by Bangladesh.

“The second moment was that game against Bangladesh. We were chasing 275, and we were more than capable of chasing it down – it was on a good wicket and against Bangladesh, who we had beaten previously in one-day series.

“When it came to every crunch moment in the chase, however, we fell short. We crumbled,” Morgan said.

Morgan also mentioned how much he was inspired by New Zealand Captain, Brendon McCullum after the World Cup was over.

“One of the best pieces of advice I got when I was given the captaincy was to be myself. I have played against and am very good friends with [former New Zealand skipper] Brendon McCullum.”

“If you look at his body language at any stage of any game it’s extremely positive, he’s always on the front foot and leading from the front regardless of the scoreboard or the situation of the game. I like to pick his brain. As a pure leader, he’s exceptional.”

Since the World Cup 2015, the team has completely transformed into the most attacking team of modern times. They have scored above 400 runs on 5 occasions when all other teams scored only once. They broke the record for the highest ODI total twice in this period.

Last year England scored 481 runs against arch-rivals Australia at Trent Bridge.
