Sangeetha was immediately taken to a hospital, where she is currently undergoing treatment. Sources said she has received two injections and is being closely monitored. The attack left her with multiple bite wounds on her hands, legs, and face.
The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Bengaluru North City Corporation and has triggered anger among local residents. Many alleged that they had repeatedly warned civic authorities about the increasing number of aggressive stray dogs in the area, but their complaints went largely unaddressed.
Residents said the stray dog menace has become a major safety concern, particularly for children and senior citizens who regularly use the roads and public spaces in the locality.
Following the attack, officials from the corporation’s animal husbandry department visited the site, collected details about the incident, and inspected the area. Civic authorities have assured residents that measures will be taken at the earliest to curb the stray dog population and prevent similar incidents.
The shocking attack has once again brought the spotlight on Bengaluru’s stray dog crisis, with residents demanding urgent and effective action to ensure public safety.
