In a major development, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has crossed the majority mark in the 2026 West Bengal Vidhan Sabha election.
The party is currently leading in 173 seats, while the TMC is leading in only 87 seats.
This marks the end of the TMC regime in Bengal as the BJP has crossed the majority mark by a substantial margin.
