Delhi government launches talent hunt scheme Hauslon ki Udaan 2026-27 to tap the talent of the youth in the national capital

The Delhi government on Thursday (21st May) launched a talent hunt scheme targeting the youth. Announcing the Talent Hunt Scheme – Hauslon ki Udaan 2026-27 in New Delhi, CM Rekha Gupta said that the scheme aims to identify, nurture and provide a national platform to the hidden talent of youth in the national capital. “Every young person has talent. They only need the right opportunity and platform to move ahead,” CM Gupta said.

The Chief Minister said that the scheme will provide equal opportunities to youngsters coming from varied social and economic backgrounds. By linking them with the scheme, the government will be able to channel their potential in a purposeful direction. The scheme, having a budget allocation of ₹10 crore, is set to be implemented across 70 assembly constituencies in Delhi.

To avail of the benefits under the scheme, youth aged between 16 and 35 years can register free of cost via an online portal- www.delhitalenthunt.com. Under the scheme, competition will be organised under seven major categories, including dancing, singing, acting and digital art. The competition would have four stages, starting with online registration and screening of applications, followed by cluster-level, zonal-level and state-level competitions. Around 25,000 participants are expected to take part in the initiative.

The performances of the participants will be evaluated based on 25% public voting and 75% assessment by an expert jury comprising professionals from relevant fields. The winners will be decided in a massive grand finale, which will be attended by noted film personalities expected to attend. The winners of the competition will receive cash prizes of ₹2.5 lakh for first place, ₹2 lakh for second, ₹1.5 lakh for third, and ₹1 lakh for fourth.
