BJP’s Nitin Nabin calls Cockroach Janta Party a part of ‘Tukde Tukde Gang’, vows to ‘teach them a lesson’

On Monday (29th June), the BJP national president, Nitin Nabin, called the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) a part of the Tukde Tukde gang that wants to weaken and divide the country. He also said that his party will take strict action against all such “virus and cockroach-like people”.

During a public meeting in Warangal during his Telangana visit, Nitin Nabin said that “Virus and cockroach-like parties are emerging in the country. These are people who want to hollow out the nation. We need to pay attention to these viruses and cockroach-like people. This gang wants to divide the country. These are the people who belong to ‘tukde wale gang’, and the BJP will teach them a lesson. Every worker of the BJP will ensure this.”

Started as an online satirical campaign by Abhijeet Dipke in response to CJI Suryakant’s “cockroaches” remark earlier this year, the Cockroach Janta Party has stretched tentacles on the ground, exploiting the NEET UG paper leak issue. Protests have been organised at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar to demand the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

However, the students’ issue is being used for peddling the usual Islamo-leftist victimhood propaganda with tacit backing from opposition parties. Last week, Danish Ali, Joint Secretary of the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU), made anti-Hindu remarks during her address to CJP-linked protestors at Jantar Mantar. A demonstration focused on examination-related concerns was turned into a political platform featuring “Azadi” slogans.

Earlier, during a protest held at Jantar Mantar on 6th of June, a group of protesters harassed women journalists who had arrived to cover the event.

A video from that protest went viral on social media. The footage showed several protesters surrounding a woman journalist, shouting slogans and making an obscene gesture in her direction. The incident had triggered strong reactions from media professionals and social media users.
