Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has been admitted to Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences after his health deteriorated, as per reports. He was admitted to the emergency department of AIIMS Delhi on Thursday at around 8 pm.
The exact reason for his hospitalisation was not immediately known, but his condition was said to be critical. Reportedly the former Prime Minister is facing “extreme breathlessness” and has been shifted to the ICU.

Former Rajasthan CM and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot expressed concerns over the former PM’s health and wished him speedy recovery in a post on 𝕏.
The 92-year-old former Prime Minister, who served as the prime minister from 2004 to 2014, retired from the Rajya Sabha earlier this year. He was elected to Rajya Sabha from Assam for five terms, and shifted to Rajasthan in 2019 after the Congress party didn’t have enough numbers in Assam to re-elect him.
Dr Manmohan Singh showed a house owned by former Assam CM Hiteswar Saikia’s family in Guwahati as his permanent residence to get elected to the upper house from Assam, even though he never lived in that house and visited it a couple of times while visiting the state.
