Journalist Mukesh Chandrakar murder: Chhattisgarh Admin seizes land illegally possessed by Congress leader Suresh Chandrakar

The body of Chhattisgarh journalist Mukesh Chandrakar was recovered by the police from the septic tank in Bijapur district on Friday, January 3. The 28-year old journalist was reportedly missing since January 1. Now in connection to the case, Chhattisgarh administration has seized the land illegally possessed by Congress leader Suresh Chandrakar.

BJP asked if Suresh is a contractor or a ‘contract killer’ of Congress. The Chhattisgarh unit of BJP wrote on X, “It was Deepak Baij who honoured Suresh with the post of State Secretary of SC Morcha of Congress Party. Various kinds of criminal goods are being sold from the so-called ‘Mohabbat ki dukaan’ of Congress — after-all, all the salesmen are criminals.”

After the name of Suresh came up in the murder case, his illegal properties were seized by the administration and his illegal buildings faced bulldozer action.

In the case, Police have also arrest 3 individuals, including Ritesh Chandrakar, Dinesh Chndrakar and another employee. Ritesh is apparently Suresh’s cousin. Dinesh is also said to be a relative of Suresh and Ritesh Chandrakar.

Further, 3 bank accounts belonging to Suresh have also been put on hold.
