A woman employee at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Nashik has levelled serious allegations of isolation, coercion, and psychological pressure within the workplace, describing what she believes was a deliberate pattern of targeting young women employees.
Speaking with NDTV, the employee, who has been with the company for six years, said she was transferred to the Nashik office and made to work alone on a rooftop terrace, physically separated from the main office environment.
She alleged that her phone, bag, and personal belongings were routinely confiscated whenever she stepped away, often under the pretext of security checks.
According to her, such measures were part of a broader attempt to control and intimidate employees. The woman further claimed that young female staff, particularly those aged between 20 and 25, were seen as “soft targets” and subjected to manipulation and pressure tactics.
Raising concerns over internal accountability, she stated that even the HR department appeared reluctant or fearful to act on complaints. Calling the situation a “dark workplace culture,” she said she considers herself fortunate to have escaped without severe consequences. Following the emergence of these allegations, the Nashik office has reportedly shifted employees to a work-from-home mode, even as investigations into the matter continue.
