Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Gujarat on Saturday, 15th November. He began his tour in Surat, where he reviewed the ongoing work on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Corridor. The bullet train corridor is India’s first major high-speed rail project, aimed at connecting key cities across Gujarat, Maharashtra, and the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli through a 508-kilometre route.
From Surat, the Prime Minister travelled to Dediyapada in Narmada district. He visited the Devmogra Temple and offered prayers to Pandori Mata. Soon after the temple visit, he held a grand 4-km-long roadshow in the town, where thousands of people from the tribal community gathered to welcome him.

Later in the day, PM Modi is scheduled to participate in the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. During the event, he will launch and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth more than ₹9,700 crore.
As part of his focus on tribal development, the Prime Minister will inaugurate 42 newly built Eklavya Model Residential Schools constructed at a cost of ₹1,900 crore. He will also dedicate the ‘Sakshamata Kendra’ built in Assam’s Dibrugarh and a new Tribal Research Institute building constructed in Imphal, Manipur.

To improve connectivity in tribal regions, he will flag off 250 new buses across 14 tribal districts in Gujarat. PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone for 748 km of new roads and 14 multi-commodity centres aimed at strengthening local markets. Additionally, he will inaugurate 50 new Eklavya schools costing over ₹2,320 crore.
Meanwhile, the central government has announced that PM Modi will release the 21st instalment of the PM-Kisan scheme on 19th November. Under the scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 annually. So far, more than 11 crore farmers have received over ₹3.70 lakh crore through the previous 20 instalments.
