It is notable here that the Congress party is set to shift to the new headquarters building today on January 15, after spending 47 years in the old building at 24, Akbar Road. The new building, named ‘Indira Gandhi Bhavan’, is to be inaugurated today.
It is notable here that after the demise of former PM Manmohan Singh, there have been some politics over building his memorial, with the Congress accusing the ruling NDA in the centre of not honouring the former PM as he deserves to be. With the new posters demanding the naming of the new Congress building after Manmohan Singh, the ball seems now to be in Congress’s court.
