‘Sheesh Mahal should be declared a national museum’: Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma takes a dig at Arvind Kejriwal

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma took a dig at Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal stating that Sheesh Mahal, Kejriwal’s former residence, should be declared a national museum for everyone to see.

“I believe that Sheesh Mahal should be declared a national museum and we should also get an opportunity to see if we can replicate it to build something similar for Assam CM residence,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

“The only interest I have left in Delhi is the ‘Sheesh Mahal’, I went to see the Mohalla clinic once or twice but there is nothing to see. First, I thought it would be a replica of the Taj Mahal. Now I feel the only this Kejriwal ji has made in Delhi is the ‘Sheesh Mahal’ and I have a desire to see it once. I will try to go there once whenever I get a chance. I request all the CMs should be given a chance to see the ‘Sheesh Mahal’ once…” Sarma further said.

Ahead of the Delhi assembly elections, the BJP has sought to highlight the hypocrisy of AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal, who fought and won the elections on the plank of being a common man and then allegedly built an opulent home studded with luxuries, derisively referred to as Sheesh Mahal.
