The Supreme Court bench led by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi had asked the CBI to expedite the probe into the accident case and had given two week's time to complete the investigation.
The Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Samar Vishal had directed Kejriwal and other accused to appear before the court. However, on April 30, the court had granted exemption from personal appearance to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and three others in defamation.
Vadra had reportedly submitted a medical certificate to the court stating that he has a tumour in his large intestine and he needs to go to London for treatment.
