The Delhi High Court issued notice on a PIL against Sunita Kejriwal and others for violating the Video Conferencing Rules.

The Delhi HC on Thursday rejected a Public Interest Litigation seeking action against media houses for revealing the identity of AAP MP Swati Maliwal while reporting the alleged assault on her by Arvind Kejriwal’s aide Bibhav Kumar

NIA opposed the plea of former PFI chief and stated that there were several cases against Abubacker and if released, nobody would depose against him.

The Delhi High Court stated that transferring a case from a judge has an effect on the judge as well.

The bench stated unequivocally that the nature of the allegations was serious and worrisome, and the gravity of the acts could not be overstated.

The plea has been moved by three persons, namely Shaheen Abdullah, Amitabh Pande and Deb Mukharji. They have sought direction from the Delhi HC to the ECI to take immediate action, including filing of FIR against the political leaders delivering hate speeches.

According to the High Court, Salim Malik was also involved in a conspiracy to destroy CCTV cameras in the Chand Bagh region during 2020 anti-Hindu riots.

The PIL was filed by advocate Shrikant Prasad. He had submitted before the court that the media was creating “pressure and airing sensational headlines” regarding Arvind Kejriwal's resignation and imposition of presidential rule in Delhi.

The bench remarked that due to non formation of the standing committee, many projects in the national capital are stalled.

The Delhi HC called Salim Malik a "co-conspirator" in Delhi riots case and held that he took active part in hatching a conspiracy to commit the riots.
