PM Narendra Modi reiterated his call for dialogue and diplomacy on the situation in Ukraine over a telephonic conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Our friends in India and our big friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, launched the ‘Make in India’ initiative several years ago. It has had a truly impressive effect on the Indian economy. It would do no harm to emulate what is working well, even if it was not us but our friends who created it,” the Russian president asserted.

The development was confirmed by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who thanked the Belarusian President for de-escalating the situation.

The Wagner Group, led by its chief Yevgeny Prigozhin, has reportedly declared that Russia will have a new President soon.
