Reports say that Uma was already married and had a child; however, she was staying alone due to a dispute with her husband. She asked Bilal to marry her. However, Bilal’s marriage was fixed somewhere else. Bilal admitted to the police that he feared that Uma would expose his relationship with her in front of Bilal’s family. Due to this, he planned Uma’s murder.
Violence broke out during a Dalit wedding procession in Saharanpur’s Amarpur Garhi village after a group from the Muslim community allegedly attacked baratis for playing DJ music near a mosque. Several were injured, and five accused have been arrested.
One Muslim man was seen slapping the underage girl multiple times. Another man took away her phone while she tried to call her brother. A third Muslim man alleged that the victim bought a 'gift' for the 'Hindu man'.
The accused identified as Mohammad Ashif posed himself as a Hindu and introduced himself as Ashish to the woman. He also shot derogatory videos of the woman and threatened to viral them as he forced her to convert her religion to Islam. The woman on 14th October then filed a police complaint and demanded strict action against the accused.
The accused started hurling abuses at Rishipal and when he tried to stop them, they hurled casteist slurs and said, “S**e, C**m*r, you will stop us?” and brutally assaulted him.
