Anti-Hindu violence, anti-India rhetoric and Islamist hegemony have become an opprobrious reality of Bangladesh sans Sheikh Hasina.

Life seems to have come to a full circle for Mahfuz Alam. In September 2024, 'chief advisor to the interim government, Muhammad Yunus, hailed Alam as the ‘brain’ behind the sinister campaign to remove Sheikh Hasina from power.

Despite all the pessimism, the Awami League supporters are gradually rebuilding the party in the absence of Sheikh Hasina. They are taking to the streets, without fear for their safety and security, to challenge the Yunus regime and its puppets in the political arena.

The case relates to a leaked phone call, in which Hasina allegedly told Bulbul that she has obtained license to kill 227 people.

Even recently, Muhammad Yunus was upset with OpIndia for not downplaying and whitewashing Islamist violence against Hindus by coming up with ‘Muslim human-chain protecting Hindu temples’ sort of falsehoods, reporting facts.

This comes after the Muhammad Yunus-led regime in Bangladesh banned all activities of the Awami League under the revised Anti-Terrorism Act in May 2025.

A case was filed against 17 actors, including Nusraat Faria, for the alleged attempted murder of a student in the capital's Vatara area during the July uprising last year,

The Minister added that despite the knowledge India was not in a position to act and it did not have the necessary leverage over the former Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina who could only be advised.
