After a Hindu boy married his Muslim lover in Uttar Pradesh, the family of the girl attacked the boy's family and forcibly took the girl with them

Mohammad Alam and Pooja Devi were living together for four years before they tied the knot in an Islamic wedding.

The duo alleged that Sapna alias Rakshanda Khan used to encourage Hindu girls to befriend Muslim boys and do Nikah with them after converting to Islam. They also alleged that Rakshanda used to keep Hindu girls in groups with Muslim boys at the academy situated on Kanth Road. The duo said that Rakshanda Khan was originally a Hindu, however, converted to Islam before marrying a Muslim man named Shahnawaz Khan 17 years ago.

The perpetrator worked as a brick kiln worker in the Basti area of Uttar Pradesh where he lured the victim.

Hapur Police stated that it has filed a case against the accused under IPC sections 328, 376, 506, and 420.

The police recovered a PAN card, ATM card, Dependent ID card, 2 white metal rings, 3 visiting cards, 5 mobile phones and a sum of ₹849 from Nazama.

A video of the incident on Muharram has gone viral online. After this, the police said they are analysing the video and action will be taken accordingly. The investigation of the matter was handed over to Kalyanpur ACP Abhishek Kumar Pandey and now the police have registered a case against 40 people.
