Samajwadi Party MP Ziaur Rahman Barq’s brother-in-law, Dr Zaid Warsi, has been accused of raping a nurse who was employed at his hospital, named ‘Bismillah’ in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. An FIR has been filed against Dr Zaid Warsi and his father, Muhammad Aslam, on the complaint of the victim.
As per reports, the victim accused Warsi of blackmailing and sexually exploiting her for three years and capturing her obscene photos and videos. The victim, hailing from the Kundarki police station area in the Moradabad district, joined Warsi’s hospital located in Chaudhary Sarai, on Gawan Road, Sambjhal Uttar Pradesh, due to the weak financial condition of her family. She started working at Bismillah Hospital in December 2022. Dr Warsi provided her a room on the top floor of the hospital.
Dr Zaid Warsi forced the victim to undergo an abortion
According to the victim, on December 15, 2022, Dr Warsi came to her room at the hospital when she fell ill. He administered her some medication, which contained some intoxicating substance. When the victim fell unconscious after taking the medication, the doctor captured her obscene photos and videos. The next day, Dr Zaid Warsi showed her the photos and videos and threatened her that if she disclosed this to anyone, he would fire her and circulate the photos and videos. Thereafter, he raped her on multiple occasions by blackmailing her. The victim said that when she got pregnant, he forced her to undergo an abortion.
The victim said that Dr Warsi took her to several cities, like Nainital, Haldwani, Bareilly, and Rampur, where he repeatedly raped her. Fed up with constant exploitation, the victim left her job at the Bismillah Hospital on August 19, 2024, and started working in Moradabad. However, Dr Warsi continued to sexually exploit her by blackmailing her.
Dr Zaid Warsi repeatedly raped her and force-fed her contraceptive pills
On October 2, 2025, Dr Warsi called the victim to Sambhal and raped her again. He then forced her to consume contraceptive pills. Because of continued sexual exploitation, forced abortion and medication, the victim’s health and mental condition deteriorated. She finally disclosed everything to her mother, who took her to Bismillah hospital to confront Dr Warsi.
When the victim and her mother confronted Dr Warsi at the hospital, he and his father hurled abuses at them and turned them away. The mother-daughter duo then went to the police station and filed a written complaint. Station In-charge (SHO) Gajendra Singh said that an FIR was registered based on the complaint of the victim.
