India has been rocked by the allegations of sexual harassment and exploitation that surfaced from a Nashik Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) unit of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). 9 First Information Reports (FIRs) have been launched, and many accused have been taken into custody.
Nida Khan, a Human Resources (HR) manager, has emerged as a significant figure in the growing controversy. She was previously listed as absconding but had been reportedly apprehended on 10th April. Some other reports, however, mention that , she continues to be on the run. Asif Ansari, Shafi Shaikh, Shahrukh Qureshi, Raza Memon, Danish Sheikh and Tausif Attar are among the arrested offenders.
Khan, who is in her 30s, is a graduate of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). She occupied a managerial HR role at the BPO facility and was also part of the company’s Internal Complaints Committee (ICC). Her duties encompassed addressing employee grievances, maintaining workplace safety and ensuring adherence to the regulations stipulated by the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Act. She was linked to the Pune operations and allegedly left the firm in January, reported Dainik Jagran. However, the accusations made against her are especially serious because of her professional mandate.
HR head Nida Khan was playing a key role in the jihadist conspiracy at TCS Nashik.

She helped recruit Hindu women, pushed them to adopt burqas, hijabs, and Islamic customs, and then deliberately suppressed their complaints of sexual exploitation.

According to reports, investigators believe that Khan might have ignored to raise the issue to higher authorities rather than responding to charges brought to her notice. Several Hindu women who have submitted FIRs at the Nashik City Police Commissionerate’s Mumbai Naka and Deolali Camp police stations asserted that their regular complaints of harassment were disregarded. Some complainants added that they were under pressure to comply or keep quiet.
She dismissed their repeated submissions, which consisted of 78 emails and chat messages and did not notify her seniors. She was a member of the POSH Committee but did not take any action in the matter, as per the complainants. On the other hand, she alleged that such incidents are common in the business world while responding to the alarming accusations.
According to the probe, Khan enticed young Hindu women with false promises of fulfilling relationships before introducing them to Islamic traditions. They were then pushed to learn Muslim religious rites and dress accordingly. She is connected to Pune, where police teams searched during the inquiry. She worked in Nashik, but her travels between the two areas are also under the radar.
Notably, Khan is also included in the first official complaint along with Danish Sheikh and Tausif Attar, which was lodged by a 23-year-old Dalit Hindu victim. The complainant reported that from July 2022 to February 2026, the trio made inappropriate remarks regarding Hindu deities, which offended her religious feelings. Additionally, Danish, who is already married with 2 kids and is booked for rape, forced her into a physical relationship under the pretence of marriage, while Tausif also made sexual propositions towards her at the workplace.
Khan has been charged with several offences, including criminal intimidation, outraging modesty and offences related to religious coercion. The authorities are also looking into the possibility of a more widespread pattern of inappropriate conduct at the office. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been established by the Nashik police to conduct a thorough investigation.
The young women, aged 18 to 25, unveiled that that they were trapped by Muslim team leaders with promises of enhanced salaries, promotions or job prospects. Afterwards, they were pressured to engage in sexual relations, faced blackmail, threats and, in some cases, even rape. Moreover, they were compelled to perform namaz, observe roza, consume non-vegetarian food and even embrace Islam. The jihadi nexus was busted after undercover female cops joined the company to reveal the truth.
The network’s coercion patterns, digital footprints and financial ties are currently under examination by the SIT. CCTV footage from a resort where a woman was abused has been confiscated. According to eyewitnesses, the scandal could have been in operation since 2021 to prey on susceptible Hindu staff and possibly obtained financial assistance from abroad.
