Fact check: Congress leader peddles fake news about Ram Mandir CEO Jitendra Mishra, claims he was dancing and partying with alcohol

Congress leader Rashmi has shared a video on X, claiming that the newly appointed Shri Ram Temple CEO, Air Marshal (Retd.) Jitendra Mishra was seen dancing and drinking at a party held to celebrate his appointment. However, the claim is false. The man seen in the viral video is not Jitendra Mishra.

Rashmi shared the video showing a man dancing while holding a glass of alcohol and used it to target the management of the Ram Mandir. She claimed that Mishra was celebrating his appointment with a drinking party.

What Rashmi posted

Sharing the video on X, Rashmi wrote, “Earlier, the people counting donations used to steal; now the CEO is having a party. The temple has been turned into a corporate temple; even a dance floor has been installed. Jitendra Mishra was seen dancing and drinking while celebrating his appointment.”

Her post presented the man in the video as Jitendra Mishra. However, the person in the clip is a different individual.

The viral video dates back to November 2025

The video is not from any celebration linked to Jitendra Mishra’s appointment. It was originally posted on Instagram by a user named Vikas Rana on 3rd November 2025.

Several other videos featuring the same man can also be found on Vikas Rana’s Instagram account. The face of the man in the viral clip is clearly visible in the footage.

Fact Check: Man is not Jitendra Mishra

A comparison of the man in the viral video with Shri Ram Temple CEO Air Marshal (Retd.) Jitendra Mishra shows that they are two different people.

Therefore, the claim that Jitendra Mishra was seen drinking and dancing at a party to celebrate his appointment as Ram Mandir CEO is false. The old video has been wrongly linked to him and presented as recent footage of his appointment celebration.
