In a major development on Thursday (24th September), the Bihar police have arrested 4 men who were seen molesting a young girl in full public view on Dam Bypass Road in Samastipur’s Jagatsinghpur village.
The incident occurred a day earlier on Wednesday (23rd September). In a disturbing 56-second video, which went viral on social media, the victim could be seen surrounded by a group of men. One of them was spotted holding her arm while another touched her inappropriately and thrashed her.
When the girl told them that she would call her brother, one of the accused could be heard saying, “Okay call him.” According to the police, the victim was travelling with a boy and had stopped on a bypass road to click pictures. At that time, the accused came charging at the victim and molested her.

After the incident came to light, the Samastipur police swung into action and nabbed 4 men in connection with the case. The accused have been identified as Rahul Kumar (19), Awadhesh Paswan (46), Vikash Sharma (32) and Rambabu Sahni (38).
Jamui sexual harassment case
Earlier, 6 accused were arrested in Bihar’s Jamui district after a minor Class 10 boy and girl were sexually harassed while returning from coaching classes. The incident took place on 19th September and came to light after the disturbing video went viral.
The accused were identified as Nandan Yadav, Hare Ram Yadav, Ramashish Choudhary (the one who recorded the video) and 3 minors.
The two students were returning from their coaching classes on a scooter when a group of men stopped them in an isolated area. The men surrounded the students, abused them and forced them off the scooter.
Videos of the incident show the boy being held by his shirt collar while the group stops the two from leaving. The girl faced more harassment. One of the men is seen grabbing her from behind, touching her inappropriately and dragging her away for some distance. He is also seen lifting and carrying her while she tries to get away.
The girl is seen folding her hands and pleading with the men to let them go. Despite her pleas, the group continued to harass and humiliate the duo.
The boy and girl tell the group that they study at the same school and that their families know they are friends. One man slapped the boy, and the other man asked him to call his family. The group is later heard telling the two to leave. Another video showed the group chasing them as they tried to escape on the scooter.
