Delhi Police, who Manish Sisodia blamed for setting busses on fire, gives him a clean chit for his lies, Delhi Court rejects and asks to file a fresh report

0

The Delhi police, whom the Deputy CM of Delhi and AAP leader, Manish Sisodia, held accountable for setting DTC buses on fire during riots that took place in Delhi by Muslim mobs in December 2019, gives a clean chit to him. While doing so the Delhi police opined that Sisodia only tweeted his opinion on a video clip that was running on news channels.

In its Action Taken Report (ATR), the Delhi police stated that no cognizable offence is made out against Sisodia. “No cognizable offence is made out against Sisodia from the contents of his tweet. Sisodia only tweeted his opinion on a video clip that was running on news channels”, the ATR said.

“From the perusal of complaint, it is revealed that the tweets are mere allegation against police and no offence under sections 153, 153-A, 504 and 505 IPC is made out,” the ATR says.

However, the Delhi court Monday rejected the clean chit given to the AAP leader in the matter and directed the commissioner to file a fresh report by March 17.

During the hearing, the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Vishal Pahuja recorded serious objections by the complaint on the actions taken report (ATR) filed by Tilak Marg Police Station, in which they had said they have not even received the complaint.

The Delhi court had earlier called Delhi police to submit an ATR after a complaint was filed by Delhi lawyer Alakh Alok Srivastav seeking registration of FIR against Manish Sisodia for maliciously spreading fake news blaming Delhi Police of setting fire to buses during anti-CAA Jamia riots.

The charges against Manish Sisodia were under sections 153(A), 153, 504 and 505 of the Indian Penal Code.

The complaint said that on 15th December, Delhi witnessed unprecedented violence and arson in the aftermath of the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Act. The complaint said that certain people provoked students and the general population to create a ruckus in the name of protesting against the Act.

The complaint said that despite lapse of more than one and a half months, the police have not yet registered an FIR against the accused and sought directions for the same against Manish Sisodia under several relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Information Technology Act.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and other Aam Aadmi Party leaders and supporters had in December last year tweeted, casting aspersions that Delhi Police at the behest of BJP and not the unruly mob protesting against the CAB (now CAA) set the buses on fire in the national capital.

Taking to Twitter, Sisodia said that fearing defeat in upcoming Delhi state assembly elections, BJP is setting Delhi on fire. He said that AAP is against the violence of any form and this is dirty politics by the BJP. In the video, he shared he is alleging that under the watchful eyes of the Delhi Police the buses were set on fire.

He had even shared images with red circles to prove a point that the firefighter was actually setting the bus ablaze.

However, if one looked closely at the video shared at that time, the police were actually helping the firefighters trying to control the fire.

Sisodia’s allegations had come minutes after it was reported that AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan was part of the mob that turned violent. While Khan had vehemently denied leading the mob, sufficient proves had emerged which showed that the violent anti-CAA riots perpetrated in the national capital last year were spearheaded by several AAP and Congress leaders.

Anti-CAA riots in several areas of Aligarh, attack on Hindu temples and police vehicles, internet snapped: Report

0

On Monday, several areas in Aligarh, UP witnesses violence by anti-CAA Muslim mobs. As per reports, violent mobs, with groups of Muslim women actively participating, went on a rampage in Uparkot, Turkman gate and Baniyapada areas.

As per reports, three Hindu temples have been attacked by the violent Muslim mob. The Muslim mob had jammed roads and halted traffics in Charkhabalan area too. Commuters and shop keepers in these areas were attacked too. Despite police presence, the mob allegedly kept on rioting and halting traffic from the morning till late afternoon on Sunday.

As per an ANI report, the anti-CAA Muslim mob had pelted stones at police personnel, attacked police vehicles and had even set a transformer on fire near the Jama Masjid, Aligarh. Police had to finally resort to firing tear gas shells to disperse the protestors.

Aligarh DM Chandrabhushan Singh had stated that women students from AMU were also behind the violence and stone-pelting incidents. The police are reportedly trying to ascertain their identities. Internet services had been suspended in the area.

Reports have stated that despite an anti-CAA protest going on in Shajmahal’s Eidgah area since weeks, many Muslim groups had held tried to block roads and halt traffic in several other areas, including Uparkot. Muslim men were seen shielding gangs of Muslim women with children with them as they shouted slogans and blocked roads.

As per a Jagran report, the Muslim mob started spilling out from Shajmahal protest venue and gradually spread to Charkhabalan and Khatikan chowk areas. Despite police presence, the Muslim mob kept on protesting as they were in large numbers. They had reportedly attacked Hindu localities and even pelted stones at a Devi temple. Locals have stated that the Muslim mob was raising provocative slogans and had pelted stones on Hindu temples.

The Muslim mob, led mostly by women, had allegedly started pelting stones at police vehicles after a rumour that a Muslim youth has been arrested and is being taken to the police station.

Aligarh police had reportedly kept an eye on the violent rioters via drones. Many locals have complained that the anti-CAA mob is getting bolder by the day due to lack of severe action by the police.

Over a dozen people were reportedly injured following Sunday’s violence, including two policemen. The Bhim Army had joined the march by thousands of anti-CAA protestors when they were stopped by the police and RAF.

As per reports, the UP police have booked over 300 people, including 40 named culprits for Sunday’s violence. Cases have been lodged at Delhi gate, Civil Lines and City Kotwali police stations.

“Dalits gang-raped and killed Muslims in 2002”: Ex-Indian Express journalist hates on Dalits, says ‘Muslims owe them nothing’

Former Indian Express journalist and rabid Islamist Irena Akbar today took to Twitter to spew venom and hate on Dalits. Early this morning, while responding to the question why Dalits are not out on the streets in the anti-CAA riots, Akbar said that she never trusted ‘them’ as Dalits were ‘foot soldiers’ when communal riots broke out in Gujarat after a Muslim mob set a train compartment of Kar Sevaks returning from Ayodhya on fire in Godhra.

Hateful tweets by Irena Akbar

Akbar says that the Dalits did the ‘dirty job of gang-raping and killing Muslims’. Since the Dalits are ‘ill-treated by upper caste Hindus’, Muslims owe them (Dalits) nothing. In January 2020, a dalit man named Dhan Prasad Ahirwar (alias Dhaniram Ahirwar) was set on fire by his Muslim neighbours in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district. He died 10 days later. For more crimes perpetrated by Muslims on Dalits click here.

When someone suggested how such animosity between Muslims and Dalit might ‘help RSS’, Akbar spews more venom and says how accusing the Dalits of gang-raping and murdering Muslims is a ‘factual statement’ and not a generalisation. She further asserts that the suffering Dalits have faced due to oppression by upper-caste Hindus has ‘nothing to do with their active role in massacre of Muslims’.

Hateful tweets by Irena Akbar

When another ‘liberal’ tried to contradict her claims, Akbar spewed further venom and asked her ‘well-wisher’ to get lost as she won’t ‘defend those who raped Muslims sisters’.

She further reiterates that Dalits were ‘foot soldiers’ of ‘upper caste Hindus’ who ‘planned’ Gujarat riots that broke out after Godhra carnage.

On 27 February 2002, a compartment in Sabarmati Express train returning from Ayodhya was set on fire by a Muslim mob in Godhra. 59 people including Kar Sevaks, returning from Ayodhya were burnt alive. Following the carnage, communal riots broke out in Gujarat.

Shahrukh, the Islamist who fired 8 rounds at police during anti-CAA riots in Delhi arrested

On the day of US President Donald Trump’s visit to India, the national capital has witnessed unprecedented violence. A Delhi police constable has lost his life in the riots that have ensued in the national capital in wake of the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act. Another DCP has been injured during clashes in Delhi’s Gokulpuri. Amidst the riots, a video of a man opening fire at the police, and one policeman bravely standing in his way emerged. The shooter, identified as Shahrukh, has now been arrested.

Several Muslim anti-CAA rioters went on a rampage after a clash broke out between Pro-CAA and Anti-CAA groups in Maujpur near Jeffrabad, thereby leading to open firing in an attempt to intimidate the cops countering the mob, heavy stone-pelting and vandalism of public property.

Interestingly, just as the video went viral, the usual suspects had started blaming ‘Bhagwa terror’. There were several Leftists and Islamists, who habitually shield Muslim rioters simply assumed that the shooter was someone from the “BJP/RSS” or a “Sanghi Goon”. However, as the identity of the shooter got an event, the usual suspects started retreating, without retracting their deceitful assertions.

The deceit of the Left-Liberal establishment was such, that The Quint even changed its featured image in one of the articles because it showed the shooter Shahrukh with people wearing skull-caps and pelting stones. To ensure that he was not seen with the Islamist mob, the Quint had changed their image.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal tweets welcoming First Lady Melania Trump to Delhi school visit, gets attacked by ‘liberals’

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday took to Twitter to welcome First Lady of the United States and wife of US President Donald Trump, Melania Trump, to an official visit to a Delhi school.

However, soon after his tweet, ‘liberals’ attacked him for welcoming the FLOTUS while parts of the national capital are burning because of communal tensions flared up during anti-CAA riots yesterday. Soon after his tweet, ‘liberals’ attacked him on Twitter for welcoming the FLOTUS and hosting a ‘happiness class’ for Melania Trump. The Wire journalist tweeted in all capitals to make her ‘anger’ at Kejriwal obvious.

The Caravan Magazine’s Political Editor also took to sarcasm to criticise Kejriwal over welcoming the FLOTUS.

Congress social media convener also criticised him for ‘not having his priorities right’.

Kejriwal was also accused of ‘abdicating’ of responsibilities.

Minutes later when Kejriwal said that he has called a meeting of all MLAs from BJP and AAP to take stock of the situation in affected areas, he was again criticised for ‘not being out on the streets’.

That Kejriwal prayed to Lord Hanuman ahead of Delhi elections also got the goat of some of the ‘liberals’ who mocked him for praying.

Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister had ‘unfollowed’ those who had criticised him for the current law and order situation in Delhi where violent riots broke out in North-East district during anti-CAA ‘protests’ on Monday.

Here is how Rajdeep Sardesai spread lies about CBSE exams in the midst of Delhi riots by Islamists

Fake news peddler Rajdeep Sardesai took to Twitter on Monday night to claim that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams would not be conducted in North-East Delhi due to the Anti-CAA violence.

His misleading claims were debunked by the official handle of CBSE. CBSE tweeted saying, “Sir there are no exam centres in northeast Delhi for CBSE exam tomorrow.”

After his lies were exposed, Rajdeep Sardesai put out a clarification saying that schools in northeast Delhi were to remain closed. To lend credibility to his claims, he even retweeted Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s tweets.

Rajdeep Sardesai claimed in his initial tweet “While local netas and criminal gangs settle scores, the citizen suffers. Will action be taken against those who provoked the violence?”

Rajdeep Sardesai is not new to spinning narratives or making misleading claims. Last month, he claimed that Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a fiery speech in Delhi, where he only spoke on the historic Citizenship Amendment Act, Article 370, Ram Mandir. Rajdeep then added that Amit Shah did not utter a word on the basic issues of electricity, schools or hospital. When he was called out by Twitteratti, he was forced to delete his tweet.

Not just Sardesai, a large section of media and so-called ‘secular-liberals’ have been trying to spread misinformation over the violence and vandalism wreaked by the anti-CAA jihadi mob in Delhi. The rioter who had fired bullets on a policeman yesterday was claimed as a ‘Hindu terrorist’ by many. It was only later that it was revealed his name was Shahrukh and he was the part of a violent anti-CAA mob.

Even the orange coloured crated used by the Jihadi mob to carry stones for pelting and to be used as shields were circulated as ‘Bhagwa flags’ in many photographs.

Sardesai made a career by running a malicious campaign post the 2002 Gujarat riots. He left no stone unturned to cast aspersions on the BJP and engage in character assassination of PM Narendra Modi. It was not until last year that he conceded, “It is unfair of us to say that Mr Modi or anyone was responsible for the riots. He did not ask or incite violence.”

Anti-CAA riots in Delhi: Tyre market gutted, section 144 in several places, home minister holds urgent meeting

0

Delhi has been burning for over a day. After violent clashes, stone-pelting and arson in several areas of East and North East Delhi yesterday, there have been at least four deaths, including a police head constable Ratan Lal.

As per reports, a tyre market in Gokulpuri was set on fire by violent protestors. Most of the market has reportedly been gutted. As of 10 pm last night, clashes were still going on in that area.

Arson and violence were reported from several other areas too. Chandbagh, Karawal Nagar, Kadampuri, Maujpur, Khureji Khas and Bhajanpura also saw violent riots by the anti-CAA jihadi mob. Several buses have been set on fire too.

Again in the morning, fresh incidents of stone-pelting and violence have been reported from Maujpur and Brahmpuri areas.

A total of 5 people, including head constable Ratan Lal have been killed in the violent riots. Over 76 people have been injured.

In another development, a senior police officer, DCP Shahdara Amit Sharma was seriously injured in yesterday’s violence. As per reports, his car was set on fire by violent anti-CAA rioters, he was allegedly dragged and pelted with stones. He had reportedly suffered injuries to his head and hands.

Sharma underwent surgery last night and it is reported that he is presently out of danger.

Section 144 has been imposed in several areas of Delhi. Police forces have been put on high alert. As per reports, home minister Amit Shah had called for an emergency meeting to review the current situation. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has reportedly also called a meeting of his MLAs in the violence-hit areas.

Anti-CAA rioters wanted to internationalize the issue, like Pakistan wants with Kashmir

Smoke rising above Delhi, the night lit up with flames. Even as we host the President of the United States. Who would want this?

The Constitution of India begins with the words “We the people.” Implicit in this assertion is the idea that we are one nation, one people, even one family if you will. And if there is one thing we know about a family, it is that we never bring out our differences before outsiders.

The anti-CAA rioters in Delhi yesterday did the exact opposite. They knew that India was busy hosting a very important guest. That the eyes of the whole world would be upon us. They used this opportunity to create large scale violence in the national capital, leaving the administration squirming in front of US President Donald Trump. And leaving every Indian in pain as the world media gleefully twisted its knife into our side.

Pakistan’s hate and jealousy does not hurt this much. It hurts more when those who claim to be our own stab us repeatedly and deliberately in the back.

Surely, the people who did this do not think of themselves as Indians. Am I supposed to believe they care about their Indian citizenship? Ha!

But then, what do you expect from a movement that encourages mothers to let their babies die as a gruesome public spectacle? The little one who died at Shaheen Bagh didn’t even lose his life in one swoop. The mother kept bringing the baby outside in Delhi’s harsh cold, night after night, exposed to the elements, slowly dragging the life out of a four month old.

Read: Shaheen Bagh: Despite the death of an infant, the ‘celebration’ continues, quite literally

A movement that has torn apart the most sacred bond between mother and child; do we expect them to stand up for the honor of Bharat Mata?

The protest had been happening for months. So why the conflagration today?

Only one side had something to gain today from all this violence while the President of the United States is visiting.

But gain what?

Yes, it is to make India look bad in front of the whole world. But there is more than that. Think deeper.

What does Pakistan want with Kashmir? They want to occupy all of it. Sure. But as a first step, their priority is that they want to internationalize the Kashmir issue. But we insist that Kashmir is a bilateral issue, something to be resolved between India and Pakistan. This is one of India’s key foreign policy goals. But Pakistan tries to take Kashmir to the UN, the European Parliament, or any other international forum. That is why Pakistani diplomatic missions fund protests over Kashmir on the streets of New York and London.

Now you see what the anti-CAA rioters were doing. By burning Delhi during Trump’s visit, they wanted to internationalize their issue. They want the global media and capitals across the world to get involved in our domestic affairs. They want to destroy our sovereignty.

How else does Pakistan go about its affairs? We are all aware of its policy of bleeding India by a thousand cuts.

What are the anti-CAA rioters doing? They shut down part of this city, this road, that metro, here and there, doing whatever they can.  Bleeding India by a thousand cuts. They find the weak spots in our armor. The rest of India is connected to the North East by a thin corridor of very high strategic value. Pakistan has long fantasized about ways to cut this one off. The Indian establishment has spent decades worrying about this spot and considering options to keep it secure in the event of war.

Bang! The anti-CAA rioters start outlining strategies to cut off the chicken’s neck. And no, you can’t play innocent and say they were planning a regular “chakka jaam.” India is a big country. You can do chakka jaam anywhere to make your point. Selecting a strategic military asset for your protest is not innocent. We were not born yesterday.

The more you look, the clearer it is. The parallels between Pakistan’s strategy and that of anti-CAA rioters could not be more obvious.

We all know that Pakistan maintains a strategic asset of liberals inside our borders. Sections of liberal media, think tanks, columnists, intellectuals, who are wined and dined at ISI funded fests all over the world. Some of the agents managing this network have even been convicted in the United States.

In return, this squad of liberals works on deepening the faultlines within Indian society. And their most important task is to intellectualize terrorism, including left wing terrorism.

What we are seeing today is that the Dantewada model has been brought to Delhi. Yesterday, liberals would intellectualize the killing of police in the forest of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Odisha. Today, they are doing the same in Delhi.

Read: From Dantewada, ‘liberals’ shift to justifying violence in Delhi

They used to intellectualize left wing terrorism by using what can only be called urban guilt. The fact that some parts of India are doing a lot better than other parts, which remain desperately poor.

Now they intellectualize terrorism on the streets of Delhi by using what can be called Hindu guilt. The ‘guilt’ that a Hindu majority has managed to survive in India (or whatever remains of India) despite centuries of oppression.

The anti-CAA rioters cannot be seen in isolation, or as concerned with any one issue. This is part of a much larger, more systematic and more sinister revolt against the Indian state.

They have bared their fangs.  The onus is now on the Indian state to respond. Right now, we are helpless because we have a VVIP guest to host in India. But he is leaving by tomorrow. And then, it will be time to crack the whip on anti-national elements.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal unfollows ‘journalists’, Bollywood entertainers, radio jockeys over criticism during Delhi riots

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal last night ‘unfollowed’ his support and fan base on Twitter after they criticised him over the current law and order situation in Delhi following the riots in national capital. In middle of the riots which broke out in Delhi last afternoon which has till now claimed lives of three people including a police officer, Radio Mirchi RJ Sayema, who has been quite a vocal Aam Aadmi Party supporter and has gone as far as soft-promoting AAP on her radio show, questioned Arvind Kejriwal’s ‘silence’ during the violence.

Sayema sarcastically put across her anger that the reports of communal tension in Chand Bagh did not solicit a reaction from popularly elected Kejriwal. Soon after her tweet, Kejriwal tweeted to urge the LG and Home Ministry to restore law and order in the national capital. Only then was Sayema relieved.

Except, the sarcasm didn’t go down quite well with Kejriwal who eventually unfollowed her on Twitter.

Along with her, Kejriwal also unfollowed other anti-Modi ‘journalists’ like Abhisar Sharma who urged Kejriwal to ‘speak out’ and end his opportunistic politics.

Abusive troll Swati Chaturvedi also tweeted similar appeal but Kejriwal didn’t unfollow her because he never followed her in the first place.

Also unfollowed by Kejriwal last night was junior Bollywood entertainer Swara Bhaskar. All she had done was tweeted and instructed Aam Aadmi Party leaders to do more than ‘tweet’.

This didn’t go down quite well with Kejriwal who promptly did more than tweeting and simply unfollowed her.

Amusingly, Kejriwal also unfollowed former AAP members like Krishan Pratap Singh and Arvind Jha for generally being critical of AAP in recent times. This is not the first time Kejriwal has cut off those who are critical of AAP. Earlier he had kicked out AAP founding member Kumar Vishwas, Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan amongst many others.

Man who opened fire at police during Delhi riots identified as Shahrukh: Here is how The Quint tried to hide his identity and affiliation to Islamists

On the day of US President Donald Trump’s visit to India, the national capital has witnessed unprecedented violence. A Delhi police constable has lost his life in the riots that have ensued in the national capital in wake of the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act. Another DCP has been injured during clashes between two groups in Delhi’s Gokulpuri. In the midst of all this, the photograph of a certain gun-wielding rioter wearing a maroon t-shirt has gone viral on social media. Some people claim that the gun man who opened fire at police during Delhi riots is from the ‘rightwing’ while others have claimed that the said person is a Muslim rioter.

Source: Twitter

Several Muslim anti-CAA rioters went on a rampage after a clash broke out between Pro-CAA and Anti-CAA groups in Maujpur near Jeffrabad, thereby leading to open firing in an attempt to intimidate the cops countering the mob, heavy stone-pelting and vandalism of public property. However, despite all evidence to the contrary, the usual suspects on Twitter are trying hard to blame ‘Bhagwa terror’ for the ruckus.

A video of the man confronting a policeman with a gun has also spread like wildfire on social media. In the video, the man can be seen pointing the gun at the policeman as the latter stands his ground. Later, stone-pelters join him and that is when the policeman moves back from his original position.

The Police has now confirmed that the man has been identified as one Shahrukh.

Amidst all of this, the behaviour of one particular ‘media outlet’ has been very questionable. The featured image of a report shared by the Leftist anti-BJP propaganda outlet The Quint shows the same man in the presence of people wearing skull-caps with evidence of arson in the background. The colour pattern of the clothing matches perfectly with the same as the gun-wielding man.

The screenshot of the tweet by The Quint

However, for reasons that are known best to The Quint, the featured image of the report was changed as of the time of writing this report. But we can safely guess what those reasons might be. The featured image that was used by The Quint was actually captured by the PTI.

Source: PTI

The high-resolution image of the same as shared by The Quint which is still available on Google makes it pretty clear and obvious that it is the same person. The attire of the people in the photo makes it pretty clear that the person was with those from the Muslim community.

A high-resolution image of the PTI photo

Furthermore, a video shared by Aishwarya S. Iyer, senior correspondent at The Quint, further confirms that the baskets which can be seen in the above pictures were being carried by people from the Muslim community.

Intriguingly enough, the current featured image of the report on The Quint appears to show the same area and the same scene but without the gun-wielding man in it. The current featured image makes it abundantly clear the nature of the mob the gun-wielding man was trotting around with.

Current featured image used by The Quint

Thus, quite clearly, it appears that The Quint deliberately made an attempt to hide the political affiliations of the gun-wielding man so that rumours could be fueled about the same on social media. The propagandist nature of The Quint is quite well known and at OpIndia, we have documented their propagandist inclinations quite significantly. Earlier, Facebook had removed a fake ‘Fact-Check’ by The Quint where the propaganda outlet claimed that the slogan “Hinduon Se Azadi” was never chanted by the Jamia students.

The Quint had also tried to whitewash the Islamist attack on Durga Puja visarjan in Balrampur. It was also forced to delete a sob-story video of an alleged Muslim cab driver it had published earlier in the day in order to fuel an anti-NRC sentiment across the country. The deletion came after filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri accused the propaganda website of paying the ‘cab driver’ for the video and claimed that the alleged ‘cab driver’ was, in fact, a junior actor in Bollywood.
