A Sunday incident ground report: Slogans of Azadi and anti-CAA goons stopped while approaching a temple in Malviya Nagar

Delhi was witness to massive anti-Hindu riots on Monday and Tuesday. But the first spell of violence in this particular sequence of events began a day earlier on Sunday. A clash also broke out between Pro-CAA and Anti-CAA groups in Maujpur near Jafrabad, leading to heavy stone-pelting and vandalism of public property. The previous day, that is Saturday, a group of over 500 Muslim women gathered near the Jafrabad Metro Station and blocked road No. 66, which connects Seelampur to Maujpur and Yamuna Vihar.

On Sunday, BJP leader Kapil Mishra demanded the removal of Anti-CAA protestors and clearance of the road within 3 days. He emphasized that they would not listen to anyone if the Anti-CAA rioters do not shift and clear the roads within the given time. While this incident was widely reported, another incident occurred around Malviya Nagar which has been largely ignored. Advocate Monika Arora tweeted about it which gained some traction.

In order to learn more about the events at that particular place, OpIndia got in touch with the residents of the area. The locals alleged that the anti-CAA groups started attacking them after a section of them tried approaching a temple and were stopped. A crowd of two thousand people entered the colony through Shivalik Colony and occupied the huge road stretching from one end to the F block of Malviya Nagar. The locals pointed out that there was no permission given to them.

While the police reacted swiftly and had enough personnel on the ground, the situation got volatile in Hauz Rani, which is next to Malviya Nagar and is a Muslim dominated area. The police had to resort to lathi-charge as there was an attempt to target local establishments. One local informed us that a teenage girl tried to shut a shop and was pushed away by other locals and reprimanded. The local, who remains in anonymity, mentioned that they had decided to sit in front of the Shiv temple, which is near the Gol Chakkar in Malviya Nagar.

We spoke to one of the members of the temple administration, who informed he was there during the incident, “We had just opened the temple and were cleaning it when a huge group of protesters came and sat down in front of the temple. Though they did not touch the temple as such, that is the same spot they chose to sit and block the road”.

When we further questioned them about the nature of slogans used, locals informed us, it was related to ‘Azadi’ and all of them were from the Muslim community. When asked whether there were more women or men, we were told that women and children were more than men in the crowd. They also confirmed that no Hindus were visible in the crowd.

Most locals were unable to answer why the protesting crowd chose to sit in front of the temple. While some felt it was because the temple was near the Gol Chakkar or the roundabout, others felt that it was to send a message. Locals, however, said that all these people had come from outside and were not local Muslims in the vicinity. “There were many unrecognizable faces in the crowd,” said the temple employee.

While no violence broke out in this area fortuntely, the strange part is that the protesters did not find any other place to sit. There was a Gurudwara in the vicinity but they chose to sit outside the shiv temple. Moreover, if there was no local support, how did they manage to maneuver their way inside the colony? And why did they go in Hauz Rani, and let the situation go volatile? These questions perhaps hint at a larger design at hand.

Later, violence erupted in North East Delhi. The massive anarchy that was unleashed has resulted in great loss of life and property. A constable at the Intelligence Bureau and the head constable of Delhi Police have lost their lives. The death toll currently stands at 27.

Bangladeshi student who shared Anti-CAA posters asked to leave country

0

Afsara Meem, a first-year student of Visva-Bharati University was allegedly asked to leave India for indulging in activities against the Indian government.

Afsara, the undergraduate student was allegedly told by the authorities to leave India for uploading pictures of the Anti-CAA protests on her Facebook handle, as per a report in Telegraph. The 20-year-old student who had come to India in 2018 from Bangladesh’s Kustia is pursuing a Bachelor of Design degree at the department of fine arts.

The Foreigners’ Regional Registration Office of Kolkata had reportedly issued a ‘leave-India’ letter to the Bangladeshi woman on 14 February.

Legal activists group Legal Rights Observatory (LRO) has claimed that they had highlighted the case of a foreign national interfering in India’s internal matters.

However, Afsara has claimed that she did not participate in the protests but merely uploaded pictures related Anti-CAA protests on the Social media ‘out of curiosity’, she added that she was heavily trolled by ‘fanatics’ as per reports.

The Bangladeshi claimed, “I am still unable to understand what wrong I have committed to face such a punishment. I posted a few photographs out of curiosity as many of my friends had participated in the protest rally. But when I found that a particular group of people was trolling me on social media, I immediately deactivated my Facebook account. I am really innocent. When I received the letter from the department today, a dark sense of grave loss gripped me. I came to India to study at Visva-Bharati as I dream to be an artist. I don’t know what will happen to me now.”

However, the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission has stated that they are not aware of the notice to the student.

Impleadment Application demands FIR against Harsh Mander, Swara Bhaskar, RJ Sayema and Amanatullah Khan, OpIndia report cited: Details

An impleadment application has been filed by advocate Sanjiv Kumar in the plea filed by George Soros-linked activist Harsh Mander seeking the arrest of BJP leaders for their alleged hate speech. The impleadment application seeks the registration of FIR against Mander, actor Swara Bhaskar, RJ Sayema and Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan in connection with the violence that erupted in Delhi.

The application states, “Harsh Mander and his ilk, along with Some Political Parties Leaders, Pseudo Liberals Tukde Tukde Gang hatched a sinister plan to create unrest during President Trump’s trip to India on 24th and 25th February 2020. They were knowing that Security apparatus will be stretched and thus here come the sinister plan.”

“It seems that just like the famous Leningrad Siege, the plan was the total siege of Delhi by creating numerous sit-ins like Shaheen Bag and on the given day and time (in between 24th February and 25th February 2020), blocking of roads and airport, thus taking control of vital roads and airports, trapping the President of USA in Delhi, creating an impossible situation, forcing Army to take control (US Army would too have jumped in) and in that situation, there will be world media attention on India. The plan of this Urban Naxal group was to defame India, to paint India as a failed state,” it states further.

Advocate Sanjiv Kumar also said in his application, “Are we under British Rule? Is Mr Mander Mahatma Gandhi? Present Govt is democratically elected by WE THE PEOPLE OF INDIA and Mr Harsh Mander wants to overthrow the Constitutionally Elected Govt. That, now CAA Act is passed, WE THE PEOPLE OF INDIA would like to know if Mr Harsh Mander has become Muslim. Nevertheless, Mr Harsh Mander tweet was seditious and was clearly to incite Muslims and Non Muslims to wage Civil Disobedience and wage war against Indian Union and there is nothing Civil about Civil Disobedience (Its Gory, Bloody, Revolutionary and Uprising against Union of India)…”

The application also carried a screenshot of an OpIndia report to state that RJ Sayema had incited a mob to gather outside police headquarters during anti-CAA protests. Advocate Sanjiv Kumar has sought FIR to be filed against Mander under Section 124A, Section 295A, Section 153, Section 153A, Section 504, Section 505 and Section 506 of the Indian Penal Code. He has sought FIR under Section 295A, Section 153, Section 153A, Section 504, Section 505 and Section 506 of the Indian Penal Code against the others.

Another impleadment application has been filed in Harsh Mander’s petition against AIMIM leaders for their hate speech. Hindu Sena president Vishnu Gupta filed this petition, seeking FIR against Akbaruddin Owaisi, Asaduddin Owaisi and Waris Pathan for their hate speeches. The application stated that the sole petition of Harsh Mander’s petition was “to defame the Hindus as Hindus are cause of riot in Delhi”. The petition attached the speeches and statements of the Muslim party leaders, “which added and abated communal tension of violence and protest against CAA in Delhi”, the petition said submitted.

Why it is time for BJP supporters to rally around Amit Shah

Nazi! Fascist! Nazi! Fascist! On the streets, they pelt stones thick and fast. On TV, on the internet, on social media, they pelt these labels like stones. From the poems, the songs, the speeches and the slogans, you would think this is a movement against Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot, Castro or one of the “revolutionary dictators” that young liberals like to honour on their caps and T-shirts.

Never before has India had so many avenues for expression of speech? Never before have so many avenues been used to so vigorously to express dissent against the elected government. And yet it seems, the louder the voice of dissent, the more it screams that they are being stifled by fascism!

Why this all-round cornering of Modi-Shah? Why so unfair?

Why have the leftists, the Islamists and the missionaries made common cause against Amit Shah? What is the great harm he has done?

The ‘harm’ of course is that he stood up for our right to exist. For centuries, these forces have seen Hindus as easy fodder, to be chewed up and swallowed. We have lost a lot of our land, our history, even our sense of identity in the world. Only the other day, I pointed out a prominent Indian liberal website crediting Arabs for developing the modern number system, something which was actually invented by Hindu mathematicians. It’s a small example, but nevertheless a telling one. It’s a symptom of how Hindus are written out of history.

Read: Chronology of events that led to the Delhi Riots and the Khilafat 2.0: The call for a Direction Action Day next?

In some small ways, in the last six months or so, Amit Shah threw some counter punches. And if there is one thing that bullies cannot stand, it is a counter punch.

The sight of Amit Shah standing tall in Parliament, wiping out their cherished Article 370, integrating Kashmir in style, was too much for them to bear.

In a few hours, Amit Shah had wiped out the special status of India’s only Muslim majority state, a reminder of the subjugation of Hindus. He had spoken of the Hindus of Jammu, the dispossessed Hindus of Kashmir, the Buddhists of Ladakh.

How dare a Hindu stand up and speak up for other Hindus?

Blow after blow followed from Amit Shah. He arrived next armed with the Citizenship Amendment Act. The Hindu victims of Partition were finally to get a little bit of justice. It was really a small thing, targeted towards persecuted Hindus who had arrived before Dec 2014. But for his opponents, it was the principle that mattered.

Who dares give a Hindu anything at all, even a little bit of sympathy?

In the liberal scheme of things, Hindus were never meant to assert themselves. The world has grown used to seeing them submit.  How dare they push back even a little?

The Supreme Court verdict in favour of a Ram Temple made them even angrier. Before that the Modi government had criminalized Triple Talaq, ending the decades-old domination of Islamic law over Indian law.

Read: Temple to be built from public contribution, government has many problems to solve: Mahant Nritya Gopal Das Maharaj, President of Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust

In February last year, the Modi government had sent the Air Force to bomb terror targets in Pakistan in response to Pulwama terror attack. After the Uri terror attack, the Modi government had sent the Army to strike across the Line of Control.

They were stunned by the combativeness of it all. Why no 26/11 like capitulation, they wanted to know.

On top of everything, the Modi government had stormed back to power in May 2019, adding substantially in terms of seats and votes. Amit Shah was Modi’s right-hand man whose strategies united Hindu castes from Uttar Pradesh to Bengal, which led to the victory. Decades of hard work by the liberal ecosystem in keeping Hindus divided had just been done to dust.

That’s where this anger comes from. This has nothing to do with CAA or NRC in particular. The anger is wider and deeper and it is aimed at our whole civilization. They intend to teach Amit Shah a lesson for fighting back.

Liberals have two ways of exercising power. When their side is in office, they enforce their agenda. When their side loses an election, they use their influence over media and intelligentsia to keep their opponents on the defensive despite being in power. So ultimately, it is always their agenda that prevails.

But what happens when someone like Amit Shah comes along, simply ignoring the liberal cacophony and implementing the opposite agenda without making any concessions?

That’s when liberals swear to teach a lesson. Right now, they think they can stem the rising tide of Hindu self-awareness by pelting stones and labels of Nazi and Fascist. They think they can intimidate like they always could.

That is why BJP supporters should rally around Amit Shah at the moment. The other side seeks to destroy him. They seek to reverse all the gains, cut off Kashmir again, repeal CAA, stop the Ram Temple, re-establish the supremacy of Islamic law and bring back the days when India would respond to terror attacks by sending dossiers.

It is a complete mind game. The right must keep its eyes on the agenda and keep marching. If they blink, everything will be lost.

Delhi riots: Hindu shopkeeper ruined, shop looted and burned because he supported PM Modi

0

Delhi has been burning as Islamists ran amok, resorting to stone-pelting, arson and vandalism, destroying public properties worth crores and hurting several police personnel and civilians in the ensuing mayhem.

While the law enforcement agencies are working relentlessly to restore peace in the National capital, many Hindus affected in the Delhi anti-Hindu riots have come out to narrate their ordeal.

In a video report by BBC News Hindi, a smalltime shopkeeper identified as Shyam who lost his livelihood due to a rioting mob in Delhi’s Bhajanpura has alleged that he was targeted as he is a supporter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In the video, the desolate shopkeeper can be seen sobbing after his shop was first robbed by the Islamist rioters and then set ablaze.

“Main Modi Modi karta hoon isliye mujhe target pe le liya (they targeted me because I am a Modi supporter)“, says Shyam. While weeping inconsolably, Shyam divulged that he was targetted as he supported PM Modi. His wife claimed that the rioters were breaking shutters of every shop in the lane and they decided to flee through the back door.

Shyam said that he was a poor shopkeeper who had rented the place to earn his livelihood. He worried about what would happen to his landlord when he would learn about the incident.

The items stolen included all the essential groceries, shop’s items on sale and six cylinders. The rioters also made away with Rs 20,000 in cash. His wife has alleged that people in their vicinity were responsible for the robbery and arson.

The anti-CAA protest in Delhi has emerged as an anti-Hindu riot where the Islamist mob have been selectively targetting the Hindu’s in the national capital. Be it from the murdered IB official Ankit Sharma to head Constable Ratan Lal, from Vinod Kumar to Dilwar Singh and many others, Hindus in several areas of Delhi have been attacked in a planned manner by Islamist mobs.

In Maujpur, stories of how Hindus were forced to cut off their own Kalawas and remove ‘Sri Ram’ sticker from their bikes to save themselves from the ‘Mohammaden mob’ coming for them since the Delhi anti-Hindu riots broke out.

Delhi riots: Pleas filed against Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka over hate speech, HC may hear tomorrow

Pleas have been filed in Delhi High court seeking FIR against Indian National Congress interim Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Former congress president, and MP from Wayanad Rahul Gandhi, and Congress party’s general secretary Priyanka Gandhi for delivering provocative speeches to incite violence.

The Delhi court has admitted the pleas and has scheduled hearing for Friday.

Furthermore, the pleas also include the names of Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, AIMIM Chief Assaduddin Owaisi, and Waris Pathan. The petitioners are seeking an FIR against these for hate speech accusing them of misleading the crowd on the Citizenship Amendment Act leading to gruesome riots in Delhi.

The petition also reportedly seeks an SIT investigation to look into the hate speeches made by the above-mentioned leaders. A group named Lawyers Voice has reportedly moved the petitions.

The petition is filed by advocate Chetan Sharma. In the petition, he alleges that these leaders delivered hate speeches against CAA and evoked the masses against the law, which led to violence in Delhi.

BJP Leader and Supreme court lawyer Ashwini Upadhyay has also filed a plea in the Supreme court on Thursday seeking action against those who delivered hate speeches and demanded proceedings against violence mongers as per law commission’s report.

Pro ISIS media launches India centric publication with Muslim lawyer who wanted to raise an armed militia on its cover page: Read details

A pro-ISIS media outlet has launched an India-centric publication as the country is going through a period of communal turmoil. The publication titled ‘Voice of Hind’ was issued by Al-Qitaal Media Center and Junudul Khilafah al-Hind as per its cover page and features a senior Indian lawyer on its cover page.

The person who is the main focus on the cover page is senior lawyer Mahmood Paracha who has been accused of inciting communal hatred in the past. In a press conference last year, Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawad and Mahmood Paracha announced that they would be setting up a camp in Lucknow to teach Muslims and Dalits about the ‘right to self-defence’ and how to apply for a firearm licence.

Mahmood Pracha had cited the incidents of mob lynchings and the Sonbhadra massacre as reasons for conducting the camp. According to him, those events wouldn’t have occurred if the victims had legal firearms to defend themselves. They were basically planning to raise an armed militia to combat ‘mob lynchings’, using licenced weapons. Later, Mahmood Paracha was seen holding that training camp inside a Lucknow Mosque where he was training Muslims about how to fill forms for licences and acquire firearms, even though an FIR had been registered against him for his incendiary speech.

According to a copy with OpIndia, that research on Kashmir and militancy, the first part of the magazine talks about IS-JK militants in Kashmir, all of them dead now, shows some pictures and talks about how they started jihad in Kashmir and achieved their goal. Then features a message from active ISHP militant, identified as ‘Abu Zakariya Al-Hindi’.

Reportedly, He talks about Indian scholars and Muslims, criticises Muslims for following “wicked scholars like Mahmoud Madani and Arshad Madani”. Also says that “Owasi and Kanhaiya Kumar are misguiding the Indian Muslim youth”, asks Muslims to reject and fight them.

Further, the magazine reportedly says that there is no place for Nationalism in Islam and Muslims should reject the notion and join the caliphate instead.

ISIS has been trying to gain a foothold in India for quite some time. Security agencies have arrested well over a hundred individuals thus far for their links to ISIS. Last year in November, the police had arrested three individuals from a suspected ISIS module in Assam, India. The arrested individuals were planning an IED blast at the ‘Rasmela’ a local fair in Assam and planning to replicate it later in Delhi.

In January this year, security agencies had busted an ISIS module in Delhi and only a day later, another ISIS operative was nabbed at Vadodara. Last month, the investigation into the murder of Wilson, an ASI of Police in Tamil Nadu, revealed that his murderers were “self-declared jihadists” who killed the police personnel to avenge the arrest of their ISIS associates by the Tamil Nadu police in Bengaluru.

Delhi Riots: Activist linked to George Soros, who has declared war against ‘Nationalists’ and PM Modi, files petition demanding BJP leaders’ arrest

Billionaire Democrat George Soros in January announced that he will commit a billion dollars towards ‘fighting’ nationalism and nationalists. Among the prominent nationalists under his radar was our own Prime Minister Narendra Modi. George Soros accused Narendra Modi of creating a ‘Hindu Nationalist state’ and claimed that the ‘biggest and most frightening setback’ had occurred in India.

Now it appears individuals linked to George Soros are attempting to undermine the leadership of Prime Minister Modi in the aftermath of the violence in Delhi. A petition was filed at the Delhi High Court seeking an independent judicial inquiry, compensation for the deceased and the arrest of political leaders for allegedly inciting violence in North-East Delhi. The petition was filed by Harsh Mander and sought the arrest of BJP leader Kapil Mishra, Anurag Thakur and Parvesh Verma and their prosecution in accordance with the law. He was represented in the Court by senior advocate Colin Gonsalves.

Harsh Mander

Harsh Mander is the Chairman of George Soros’s Open Society Foundation’s Human Rights Initiative Advisory Board. His antics against the government do not need much elaboration. During the recent spate of violence after the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Act, Harsh Mander with his organization ‘Karwaan-e-Mohabbat’ published a report on the violence at the Aligarh Muslim University that absolved the students of all sins and peddled numerous lies against the Uttar Pradesh Police. Later, of course, the entire report turned out to be a massive fraud.

Harsh Mander had also promised to register himself as a Muslim if the CAB was passed but OpIndia cannot confirm if he has gone through with his promise after the CAB became CAA. He has also spread great lies about the NRC in the past and the foreign tribunals in Assam. It is pertinent to mention here that Harsh Mander was a member of Sonia Gandhi’s National Advisory Council that drafted the Communal Violence Bill. His NGO Centre for Equity Studies has also received funds from Christian Evangelical Organizations and he has openly batted for religious conversions in the past.

Read- Days before George Soros launched attack against India, his NGO Open Society Foundations filed plea in Delhi HC against Modi government

Harsh Mander and his NGO Karwan-e-Mohabbat have been very active at the protests in Shaheen Bagh. Even more intriguingly, Harsh Mander spoke on the ‘importance of solidarity’ and “how we can practice civil-disobedience in today’s India”. Karwan-e-Mohabbat also has been urging people to join the protests at Shaheen Bagh. There was some sort of ‘festival of unity‘ or jashn-e-ekta going on at the protests which the said NGO had urged people to attend.

Colin Gonsalves

Colin Gonsalves if the founder of the Human Rights Law Network (HRLN) which operates under the aegis of the Socio-Legal Information Centre. It has received funds from George Soros’s NGO in the past. Some of the efforts HRLN has been involved in include the campaign against ISKCON’s Akshaya Patra, a campaign against Indian sedition laws, and it has been providing free legal aid to Rohingya Muslims in India. It has also been engaging in activism for the implementation of the RTE Act that works against Hindu-run institutions.

Furthermore, HRLN is also linked to a plethora of organizations across the country that seeks to undermine India’s territorial integrity. Members of the Right to Food Campaign (RFC), an organization HRLN is linked to, were also involved in the protest against then CJI Ranjan Gogoi that sought to undermine the legitimacy of the Indian Judiciary.

The Riots

Clashes between two groups broke out on Monday, between those who are in favour of CAA and those who are protesting against CAA that later turned into communal riots. As per reports, the death toll has reached a mark of 27, and more than 250 people injured in the clashes. The Delhi police on Wednesday had announced that it had registered 18 FIRs and arrested 106 people in connection with the incident of violent clashes in North-East Delhi.

Chronology of events that led to the Delhi Riots and the Khilafat 2.0: The call for a Direction Action Day next?

Massive anti-Hindu riots erupted in Delhi on Monday and continued on Tuesday. The death toll has reached 34, hundreds have been injured and the damage to property has been enormous. An Intelligence Bureau Constable has died in the riots along with a Head Constable of the Delhi Police. Amidst all of this, one gun-wielding man was spotted brandishing his gun at the Police and firing shots. The rioter was identified as Shahrukh and he has now been arrested. Despite all of this, a concerted campaign has been launched to blame Hindu outfits for the chaos that has been unleashed at the national capital. Usual suspects are labouring under the pretence that BJP leader Kapil Mishra is somehow to be blamed for the riots in Delhi.

However, the truth is that Delhi has been in the grip of communal violence ever since the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Act. And what is happening currently is only the crescendo of a fire that was lit by Jihadis months ago.

December: The Beginning

The violence began on the 15th of December when Muslim mobs rampaged through the national capital. Amanatullah Khan, a prominent MLA of the Aam Aadmi Party, and Delhi’s Sunni Waqf Board chief was spotted leading the riots in Jamia Nagar. Chants of ‘Hinduon se Azadi’ were raised in the same area that very day. Buses were also set on fire during those violent protests. On the same night, the Delhi Police cracked down on the Jamia Milia Islamia University and entered the campus to flush out the miscreants.

Two days later, massive riots broke out in Seelampur. Delhi turned into a war zone. A school bus was attacked and set on fire as well. The mob taunted the policemen to run after them following which stones were pelted. Peace returned at the national capital following the escalation on the 17th of December but it was an uneasy peace. Police presence was still high given the security concerns. On the 27th of December, security was again heightened at Seelampur and drones were deployed for surveillance. Amidst all of this, the road continued to be blocked by the protesters at Shaheen Bagh.

January: Storm Clouds Gather Over Delhi

Through the month of January, the roadblock caused by the Shaheen Bagh protesters became the focal point for the Delhi Assembly Elections. On the 12th of January, demonstrations were held in Delhi demanding the removal of barricades and blockade on road number 13A between Mathura Road and Kalindi Kunj, in order to ease the traffic. Soon afterwards, the Delhi High Court had instructed the Police to keep the law and order situation and public interest in mind while evicting the protesters at Shaheen Bagh.

On the 17th of January, the Delhi Police requested the protesters at Shaheen Bagh to unblock the Kalindi Kunj-Shaheen Bagh stretch because of the inconvenience it was causing the residents of Delhi. By then, sensing the anger among the people of Delhi regarding the harassment the anti-CAA protests were causing and coming to the conclusion that it might affect the Delhi elections, those sympathetic to the Aam Aadmi Party and biased against the BJP started laying down the groundwork for a ‘tactical retreat’. Appeals were made by ’eminent journalists’ to withdraw the protests but their appeal fell in deaf ears.

First Half of February: Enter The Grim Reaper

By the dawn of February, the ordinary people of Delhi were incensed at the prolonged protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act. On the 2nd of February, counter-protests were organized at Shaheen Bagh against the road blockade caused by the anti-CAA brigade. This was three days after a minor had opened fire at the anti-CAA protests in Jamia and only a day after Kapil Gujjar, associated with the Aam Aadmi Party, had fired three shots at Shaheen Bagh.

Around the same time, a baby died at these protests due to the negligence of the parents after being exposed to the harsh weather of Delhi. The parents showed no regret and instead blamed the government instead. However, the celebration continued at Shaheen Bagh despite the tragedy. It is not to say that the mother of the baby herself would have wanted anything otherwise. She had declared that she was ready to sacrifice her remaining two children for the ‘fight against NRC’ as well.

On the 7th of February, the Supreme Court postponed the hearing for a plea filed against the Shaheen Bagh protests, noting that it can influence the voting for the elections on the 8th of February. The same day, the Court took suo moto cognizance of the death of the infant in order to stop the involvement of children in these protests. On the 10th of February, the apex court observed that there must be a designated site to carry out such protests and raised concerns about whether public inconvenience can be caused by blocking roads indefinitely.

Third Week of February: Cacophony of Impending Doom

In the third week of February, the interlocutors appointed by the Supreme Court to solve the impasse were failing spectacularly, as everyone expected it to from the very first day. The interlocutors were appointed by the apex court on the 17th of February with the objective of convincing the Shaheen Bagh protestors to relocate to an alternative place.

Since then, it has been a game of incessant delay that has been played at Shaheen Bagh. The women of the Shaheen Bagh protests were caught being tutored by ‘activist’ Teesta Setalvad, who has in the past been accused of embezzling 2002 riot victims’ money, ahead of their meeting with interlocutors. Soon after, on the 21st of February, the terms set by the Supreme Court-appointed interlocutors for talks with the Shaheen Bagh protesters was rejected by the latter. They refused to meet the interlocutors in groups due to the possibility of ‘distrust’ among those who did not meet them in that particular group. It was the first sign that all was not well between the protesters themselves.

Fourth Week of February: The Delhi riots and the Crescendo

The circumstances in the fourth week of February provided for the manifestation of a perfect storm. US President Donald Trump was due for an official visit to India on the 24th of February. On the 22nd of February, the protesters at Shaheen Bagh set seven conditions to end their illegal occupation of the public road. It was the fourth day of the mediation talks.

The conditions were preposterous, to put in mild terms. It was demanded that all the cases against the students of Jamia Milia Islamia University be revoked. It was also demanded that all cases against ‘youngsters’ who were booked for the Shaheen Bagh protests be revoked. In addition to all of this, the protesters also demanded that cognizance be taken of the death of people in the anti-CAA ‘protests’ across India. And, of course, they also demanded that the NPR exercise not be carried out at the national capital. The nature of these demands proved that the mediation efforts were not going too well.

The same day these preposterous demands were made to end the blockade of road, a group of over 500 Muslim women gathered near the Jafrabad Metro Station and blocked road No. 66, which connects Seelampur to Maujpur and Yamuna Vihar. Certain ‘concerned’ citizens who oppose the CAA claim that the women were incited into blocking the roads by activists associated with the Far-Left women rights group Pinjra Tod. They also claimed that violence was incited by the Pinjra Tod activists.

On Sunday, BJP leader Kapil Mishra demanded the removal of Anti-CAA protestors and clearance of the road within 3 days. He emphasized that they would not listen to anyone if the Anti-CAA rioters do not shift and clear the roads within the given time. A clash also broke out between Pro-CAA and Anti-CAA groups in Maujpur near Jafrabad, leading to heavy stone-pelting and vandalism of public property.

On the day Donald Trump arrived in India for his official visit, the 24th of February, widespread anarchy and chaos erupted across the national capital. Muslim mobs went on a rampage again in Delhi and a head constable of the Delhi Police lost his life. A petrol pump was set on fire at Bhajanpura in East Delhi and many vehicles were burnt. Another DCP has been injured during clashes between two groups in Delhi’s Gokulpuri.

In the midst of all this, the photograph of a certain gun-wielding rioter wearing a maroon/red t-shirt has gone viral on social media. Some people claimed that the gun man who opened fire at police during Delhi riots is from the ‘rightwing’ while others have claimed that the said person is a Muslim rioter. Later, the gun man was identified as Shahrukh and was arrested.

Since then, it has been chaos in Delhi. The dead body of an Intelligence Bureau constable was recovered from a drain in Chand Bagh. A Hindu man was murdered in Brahmapuri amidst chants of ‘Allah Hu Akbar’ and ‘Nara e Taqbeer’. The death toll has reached 20 and scores of people have been injured. A Mosque is also said to have been damaged in Ashok Nagar. The Police has denied that any Mosque has been damaged in Ashok Vihar. 19 year old Vivek was attacked in his own shop, a drill machine was bored into his head. A great deal of property has been damaged across the national capital.

“Men love to blame demons when their grand plans unravel.” -Tywin Lannister

While Delhi grapples with anarchy, liberals were busy blaming ‘Bhagwa’ and Kapil Mishra for the mess despite all evidence to the contrary. An attempt has also been made to paint the recent Delhi riots in isolation of everything that has happened before. The fact of the matter is, it all began when Ladeeda Sakhaloon, Barkha Dutt’s Jamia ‘shero’, gave a call for Jihad on the 11th of December 2019. The entire cycle of violence in Delhi began soon afterwards. And since then, it has never been peaceful.

It is also pertinent to remember that the Shaheen Bagh protests were masterminded by Sharjeel Imam, a radical Muslim who wished to cut off North East India from the rest of the country. He was also a columnist at The Wire and had written columns eulogizing Jinnah. He is currently under arrest but it is he who had laid the seeds for the chaos. Even then, other radical Muslims had lent their support to Sharjeel Imam and defended the seditious speech that he made.

The communal riots that erupted in Delhi is a direct consequence of the city being held hostage by rabid Islamist for their sinister objectives. For over two months, ordinary citizens of Delhi have been harassed and subjected to great inconvenience on purpose. While usual suspects are blaming Kapil Mishra and the ‘Bhagwa’ for the riots, they appear overeager to absolve the Islamists for their sins.

It is an objective truth that the cycle of violence was not initiated by people of saffron hue. The call for Jihad was not made by Kapil Mishra or saffron politicians. Saffron had nothing to do with the 15th December riots either. Moreover, even anti-CAA activists have claimed that violence was initiated by the far-left group Pinjra Tod.

Those who are overeager to blame the Bhagwa for the riots have made several attempts to whitewash the Islamist nature of the anti-CAA protests in Delhi. Slogans of ‘Jinnah Wali Azadi’ and ‘Hinduon se Azadi’ were ignored. Some of them even accused OpIndia of manufacturing the ‘Hindu se Azadi’ video and branded it fake but ultimately, the video was proven to be authentic.

The usual suspects also ignored the fact that the Shaheen Bagh protests were being led by people whose conscience was not even troubled by the death of an innocent baby. They were also willing to ignore the fact that children were being indoctrinated into a cult of hatred in these protests. The role of Ladeeda Sakhaloon and Sharjeel Imam in the creation of the current crisis in Delhi is not even spoken about.

Another aspect that cannot be ignored is the possibility that the riots were timed with Donald Trump’s visit to India. Pinjra Tod has been accused of inciting violence and blocking the roads on the 22nd of February. A thorough investigation must be conducted in order to get to the truth of these allegations. The only reason Kapil Mishra and the ‘Bhagwa’ are blamed is that people want a convenient scapegoat for the violence and they do not wish to engage the elephant in the room.

EndGame of Delhi riots: Khilafat 2.0

OpIndia has been saying for quite some time that what we are witnessing today is the Khilafat 2.0. A vast network of Radical Islamic Organizations have spent a great deal of time and resource to manufacture a giant crisis in the backdrop of CAA and NRC. A student organization that is the ‘blood brother’ of the banned terrorist outfit SIMI has been involved in these violent protests. The link between the Islamic Youth Federation that does not believe India is sovereign and Sharjeel Imam is also being investigated by the agencies. Under such circumstances, it is mischievous and dubious to blame Kapil Mishra or the ‘Bhagwa’ for Khilafat 2.0.

Let us not mince our words here. The time for beating around the bush has long since passed. Everything that has happened in Delhi points towards the fact that an attempt was made to repeat the events of the Khilafat Movement. The Radical Islamic Movement of the 20th Century which paved the way for the creation of Pakistan was marked by a massacre of Hindus that is oft forgotten: The Moplah Massacre. It is an objective fact that the Jami anti-CAA movement was led by people who glorified the genocidal maniacs of the Moplah Massacre.

Petrol bombs, sacks full of brick pieces, stones, acid packs and even catapults to hurl the stones have been spotted at AAP Councillor Tahir Hussain’s rooftop. All of this points towards the fact that the violence was organized. And it can be speculated safely that the Delhi riots could have very well resulted in a repeat of the Moplah Massacre almost a century ago, only the victims this time around would have been the Hindus of Delhi. The evidence at hand does suggest that a repeat of the Moplah Massacre of Hindus was averted. However, that is not reason enough for complacency.

Only 22 years after the Khilafat Movement had ended, Mohammed Ali Jinnah had given the call for Direct Action Day. A repeat of the Moplah Massacre might have been averted a century later but it also means that Direct Action Day is looming around the corner. And from Sharjeel Imam’s rhetoric, it is evident that another Direct Action Day leading to another partition of the country is the long term plan of Radical Muslims. People would like to believe that as normalcy returns to Delhi, there will be a semblance of peace in the country for the near future at least but they would be mistaken to believe so.

The Khilafat Movement had lasted for five years, between 1919 and 1924. History repeats itself and we are watching it unfold right in front of our very eyes. And if pattern sustains itself, we can be relatively sure that communal tensions will prevail in the country for another year or two at the very least, possibly more. If we manage to avoid that fate, then we ought to consider ourselves extremely fortunate. We have managed to avoid a repeat of the Moplah Massacre but we should not take our eyes off the Direct Action Day that could come later.
